Are my looks broken?

This weekend I hit a cliff and broke the little plastic wing part (where the toepiece clips in) of my Look P10s. I lost the piece in the snow and I just kept skiing without it. Someone told me that that piece is part of Look's frictionless system that helps you release on twisting falls. I want to know if my bindings will cause me problems down the road. They work fine now, and I think that I could maybe get a replacement piece from a shop.

if they still hold your boot in it's all good. i used some like that for a while. and i'm pretty sure it's all riveted in so you cant replace them except on the fks style toe pieces.

Same thing happened to my P14s I used them on rails and it seemed to be ok. I think they may have fallen off a few times when they normally wouldn't have though.

See how the little plastic peice on the left is missing and the one on the right is still there.

You need to replace that piece. I had some Axials that that happened to and sometimes they would work just fine but i kept getting random releases. They'll pop off if you 270 on to somthing or land funny and it can be a pain in the ass. Just take them in to your local shop they should be able to order the part if they dont already have it.

yeah I can see you releasing out of the side of them..see if a shop can get the part - if not you may need a new toepiece

Same thing happened to me as well. I had another set of looks I was using for spare parts and just replaced those wings altogether. Basically, unscrew the din screw and the wings will come off. I bet someone at your shop or on NS will hook you up. Otherwise you can send them to look and they will take a good while to get back to you.

The same exact thing just happened to my Axials. Mine was loose and finally just snapped off when I tried a 5 and cased it on the landing. My boot wiggles around really easily but I haven't got a random release yet so hopefully it'll be all good.
