Are my k2 flex boots too big?

I was at the store and they said I was between two different sizes but they sized me up from my normal size because you do that with the k2? The toes did not feel snug before heat molding but when I tried my usual size they felt too tight but maybe that is because it was before they were heat molded? With the k2 I have right now when I tighten it and lean forward on my skis, my heel comes up inside my boot but when I lean back it seems okay. Maybe because I need to put it tighter? I just haven’t done that because I’m sore I think it’s because I tightened my boots so much my first day riding in forever and I did not stretch or anything. Only my right foot kinda hurts because I pulled something I think. I’m not sure if that has to do with the boot though because I pulled that same muscle on my old ski boots.

Too big. They never should have sized you up. The smaller pair were the right size for you. Boots will always be the tightest on day 1 when you try them

they are to big but don’t be super discouraged if you are tight on money. you can have a boot fitter get some volume fillers like an underfoot shim and padding around the heal.

Will the sales person give me another pair or no?

Worth checking it out, probably depends on the shop. Be extremely nice and explain the situation and how you're not satisfied with the fit.

Hold on, they sized you up from your normal size of ski boot or your normal shoe size?

Yes, if you commonly ski a 26, for example, and it was sized correctly there is a very strong possibility that you'd need a 27 in the K2 Flex. The BSL's are shorter for given size (ie most brands are around a 316mm in a 27 and 306mm in a 26 vs 310mm and 301mm in the Flex and, yes, this is also reflected in interior length).
