Are Line Skis durable?

Well the afterbangs chip pretty easily but the base and edges are pretty durable. Only downside is that they're pretty heavy.

Edges on my masterminds still haven't cracked just my top sheet from nose blocks and butters over flexing the ski

EP pros got fucked up bases from the terrible season last year, lots of rocks and crashes, but i simply filled em up with ptex, got a stonegrind and they look like new! :)

very happy with the quality !

witnessed a pait of bangs delaminate in about a month last season. but i feel like my friend just got some kind of reject pair because i've heard nothing but wonderful things about them

Yeah to add to I am mod's testament, (on mobile and can't quote that post), a few weeks ago I hit a smaller drop on my opus' in only about a foot of fresh. It was a gap to drop thingy so I was cookin too but I landed on a rock right under the snow. Landed hard too. I was 100% convinced at least one ski was broken or I would be missing p-tex to the core. They're fine though. Quick p-tex fill and a slight grind and they're all good. Zero doubt that hit woulda destroyed a lesser quality ski. I've also got old lines that are still in great shape that I've beat the heck out of. With all that said though, I'd never buy the A-bangers. If I were to get another park ski it'd be chronics.

Yes, I've had my anthems for about 3 seasons and they are still great, obviously there will be top sheet chipping but that doesn't affect how the ski rides.

haha yeah I know I was just saying. that's the first thing I think of. I have friends with stepups, afterbangs, blends, and chronics and they've all literally been problem-free

durability also depends on how well you treat your stuff too.If you ride them on rocks and throw them around or whatever they won't last as long as they possibly could.

^^same here except for the afterbangs ...

then again the guys i know with afterbangs also completely trash their skis ....

To be honest, the durability on my chonics suck. I have been pretty much filming 90% of this season and somehow i have mad top sheet chipping and a few edge cracks. Bases arent to bad a guess, some scratches but nothing to deep. Nothing to major, but for not hitting many rails or boxes this season, they are pretty shitty

topsheet chipping-who gives a fuck, it has a sidewall so its probably going to ship

edge cracks- you could get them the first time you hit a rail, all depends on how you land on it. Edge cracks themselves are not a problem, its when they start ripping out, which could be never.

my chronics survived a season od skiing and a summer on the setup they are pretty beat up right now but skiiable so i would say the chronics are good but 4 out of 5 of my friends whjo have had afterbangs have had them delam or break so i wouldent go with the afterbangs

Honestly any park ski you choose it's gonna get beat up in the long run. Although line skis may not be "durable" they are still one of the top ski companies.

yes. very. ive had 3 pairs of lizzies, two w 140ish days on them. my current pair have over 350. They've lost camber, lost a couple inches of edge underfoot, but damn, they just keep on going and are still tons of fun.

Some of u complaining about topsheet chipping and ur skiing park? gtfo. #1 who cares, #2 dont be a pussy, #3 dont be a pussy

I have always had good luck with line. The only problem I have had is my lizzies, edge separated from the sidewall underfoot. Not sure how it happened (I was in the park so it's from rails) but I'm not too concerned, they are way too much fun to not ski them still.

I've had 1260's, invaders, chronics, lizzies, cryptonites. All have been awesome.

i got 2010 chronic cryptos and they have taken a beating and other than an edge crack that hasn't pulled out yet it has held up well.

I've got Prophet 100, and I've only been riding them for a short time, they look like sh*t already tons of deep scratches on the base and top sheet like butter

this has happened to me too on all of my pairs. obviously from repeated rail use. the reason it happens to lizzies and probably other fat skis is the amount of force put on the edge is much higher than a narrower wasted ski. simple physics will explain this. you're simply putting more leverage on the edge since it is farther away from your foot.

i don't fault line what so ever for this. any ski ridden 120+ days is going to show some wear.

in other news just got my 184 bacons in the mail this morning to replace my completely beat lizzies. stoked! even at over 350 days, the lizzies will see plenty of park use.

the only thing about my stepups are that there wood top sheet chips pretty darn easy but once you get past he first layer of chipping then it stops

their park skis are shit. ripped the heel of my binding out of a pair of invaders when I was thirteen and weighed 100 pounds.

I love my anthems, i've had them for a year and a half, no edge cracks, mild wear on the edges, and good bases other then a couple dings.

i have afterbangs, but honestly speaking, im a really weak guy and skinny, but i really dont find them unbearably heavy. i quite enjoy them. with that aside, the base of them is bombproof. the edges are good as well. the woodpart at the top does chip easily but that doesnt matter. its only cosmetic. so afterbangs are great for surability especially for a pricepoint ski.

i made a stupid mistake last year and switched from line to k2 for my every day skis.

lemme just say that my k2's which are only a year old are in far worse shape than my old Line's which had about 5 seasons on them.

The bases don't hold up as well.. the edges lost their sharpness really fast... a few really gnarly chips through the top sheet...

granted I do live out west now, but i definitely like the feel of my old chronics over how damp my revivals feel.
