has anybody tried Lib Techs new ski the NAS park ski. I am looking to buy them and i am wondering if anybody has anything really good or really bad to say about these skis. thanks for the help

The purple baker skis from two seasons ago are the fucking stiffest twins ever. Dunno how new models flex, but I'm pretty sure the magnetraction thing is just a gimmick. Looks cool tho.

I rode the park skis from last year. They were a lot of fun. The magnatraction works, in a sense. I rode them on a extremeley slushy spring day, and they gripped it up. Yes, they were stiff. And yes, I prefere a stiff ski. But they were a lot of fun. Stiff skis are a lot of fun.

From what I have heard, the "magnatraction" is really grippy on hard snow, in all the wrong ways. It wants to edge... all the time, and it's just scary. I wouldn't ever buy a pair.

i ride the nas ski and its amazing. the edge/ magnetraction keeps hold real well but you can also float right out of it with a little roll of the ankle. they are pretty stiff, really light, spins great, and ride on boxes/rails just like regular skis

from what i've heard your wrong in every way. I ride them and they're awesome. only thing is they may be a little stiff for butters but everything else is great

to all the non believers... magna works like a charm.

step one, buy ski,

step two, dull the fuck out of your edges, seriously, round em out.

step 3 never sharpen, i can not stress this enough.

step 4, have fun gripping no matter what the conditions are.

i ride lib tech skis...and i will never ride anything else. They are very light and the magne traction holds better than a race ski, not exaggerating. They are a perfect ski for me since i like to ride some all mountain along with park and i like a stiff ski. This is a perfect east coast ski. Its not great in powder since it is not the fattest ski in the world and it has low tips (found that kinda odd). The magne traction is amazing, i spent 3 days at killington when it rained during the day and froze overnight so it was all ice.....everyone i was with was bitching about the conditions i was having the time of my life since my skis were great in ice. These are also amazing carving skis. since you have those multiple points of contact on the snow you can lean so far into your turns without sliding at all. When i bought these i was on the edge about it since i thought that the edges might catch on boxes and rails because they are so wavy but i was wrong....i have never caught on a box or rail and i have never de-tuned my edges. If you live in the east and will not ski waist deep pow everday and you like a stiff ski these are the ski for you. The only downside to these skis is the topsheets chip kinda easily but thats not a big problem. I assume that lib tech has toughened up the topsheets this year. I have the 07 striped man NAS. If you have any questions about lib's skis just shoot me a pm

I heard a rumor that lib tech ginetically grows there own trees to create the most responsive strongest type of wood that is available in snowboards and skis.

True to a certain extent...

They use trees that have been bred to be super light but super responsive. Thats why they feel semi stiff. I forget what they call it.

they take a bit of getting used to, but they're extremely sick. i've skied them a handful of times and very much enjoyed them.
