Are kangaroo flips overrated

*cough* mike mertion at Nippon Open *cough*

haha for real though, kid stomped a couple double cork 14s.....and no one knows who he is!!!!

different strokes for different folks!

personally i really don't want to see double flips and corks become all people do in comps, although it will be more exciting to watch than everyone doing switch 10s. hmmm i guess i don't know what i think.

dub corks are, the spins are only going to get bigger, grabs are going to get harder-like i wouldn't be surprised in like 5 years if i heard about someone throwin down a dub cork 12 octo as crazy as that shit sounds, ur right that would be sooo sick, and that's where double flips are goin

can u say trip 16?

Kang's are hood as fuck. A nice kang with a late shifty for the last 180 is so good looking.

Example:

HA! This was a reply to Vinny's comment. Perfect.

It's amazing how much a couple of years ago they under estimated where our sport would be. Now we have nose butter trip 16, tail butter doubles and a bunch of other shit which was not even imaginable.

the only way that a double flip would be cool would be if they start doing them unnatural and putting some double grabs in them, double flip are not the future of skiing

haha this

I agree, just chucking that shit is all it is. Like double lincoln loop or a lincoln to under-flip. Skill required, but not much more than a double back.

not at all. your just a wannabe so what do you know. sometimes i think it is ridiculous if they look like shit but i think they are a pretty sick trick. but people need to start doing them with a different grab, i have only seen andreas throw it with a mute and every other kangaroo was with a japan.

"your (vinnycash) just a wannabe whay do you know" boy did he ever get it wrong

It's so weird seeing all these pros not being famous. Like that kid on the 1st page that said "you're just a wannabe"

LOL

I wish people like kenworthy and schlopy still used this site. That'd be sick.

I love how we've got people calling out VinniCash as a wannabe. Classic. ;)

It took me a minute to realize this thread started back in 2008.

What a transition this sport has taken, i don't think kang's will ever be played out or whatever, but damn are we lucky to have guys like Vinni pushing the sports to entirely new heights.

Is this the moment vinny knew he'd go pro?

Japan kang is cool and then dudes started doing more.

Always been spinning bio with the usual cork and other different axis even back in the days when I’d travel to Quebec skiing park that Charles Gagnier was killing it at.

I can see why this is still a relevant topic

It amazes me to see that a professional skier comes to this forum with a genuine interest in learning what other skiers think, and so many people are talking shit about him. Vinni is one of the nicest pro skiers out there, and NS still wants to call him overrated and washed up ? That being said, it’s a cool trick that looks good in a line.

Lol how the times have changed when people want doubles back cus everyone just does triples

This aged. Well?

first of all double flips and double corks are the exact same thing both, they both look really ugly, and their not the future of the sport, if you want to see the future of the sport just look at PK, 720 to cork 540 that's the sickest shit ever, its not a double cork, its a spin to a cork, its the sickest shit ever and he's the only one doing it and he puts an high mute in it
