Are Hellbents worth it?

Found a local shop that has pairs of 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Hellbents in stock for 300-350$ (depending on year). Ive heard people here say they are awesome for powder but my question is are they really worth it or has ski technology improved alot in the past 10 years and I should just get something more recent.

For the time they were pretty revolutionary, but nowadays I would say that they are for people with the acquired taste for them.

In my opinion modern skis have solved many of the problems Hellbents have, like silly rocker shape, way too wide and super flappy tips and tails, no early taper, heavy weight and so on.

Then again they are pretty good at being absolutely massive and noodle soft planks.

If you don't have the fond memories skiing them decade ago, I would say get something newer, especially if weight is any of your concern.

Uhhh what shop, can you post the link, I need to uhhh make sure that they’re actually genuine uhhh just trying to help you out and make sure you don’t get scammed

Over seas are the worst. I found a set of moment chipotle bananas for cheap cheap. But $600 shipping on top.

You win some you lose some. I found this shop but I can't find Vishnu, On3p and Moments without paying double the price. Big Europe L.

Bumps in Australia had some moments on heavy discount. Shipping was insane for me to the states. Might be better for you to Europe.

Is that site legit? They have shreditor 102 that I kinda want to buy.

Info I’ve found online seems legit, but they don’t ship to the US according to their site. Only Europe and a few close counties.

I sent over an email to see if there is an option for us.

y’all should go on vacation in greece and pick up some hellbents while your there, probably cheaper than shipping haha?

I’m going to Portugal with some family on Oct. if I have them shipped to the hotel they’ll basically cost me $432.

I have 2 free bags with the airline but I’m only traveling with one. I could bring my Sportube as my second free bag and fly home with them from Portugal.

problem is then I pay VAT in that $432. Shipping to the US assuming they’ll do that would remove the vat, but I’m sure shipping isn’t going to be cheap assuming they’ll even do it.

I sent a message yesterday, no response, in my opinion it is a stock error.

I’m going to say you’re wrong.

when you try to add a bunch to your cart, it gives you an error message saying not enough stock. I believe their inventory is live.

Yoo this shop is wildin they have so many old but new pairs of skis for sale, that’s sick.

If I was euro I’d be going crazy rn

When I was in Aus, shipping was usually $100-200 range. Where are you finding $600??

They must have scored the stock of some old K2 dealer or something. They have fucking everything like Kung Fujas, Shreditors, Pettitors, Hellbents, Obsethed and even Public Enemies. It's wild to see decade+ old skis in mint condition going for less than 300 euros.

Skis have improved a bit, and a lot of newer skis in the 115-125mm underfoot range are much more versatile. That said, for a specific niche of skiing, hellbents are pretty much unmatched. Super fun for buttering, switch landings, and overall playfulness, but maybe not as good as newer skis on steep big mountain terrain. Definitely not a bad ski to have in the quiver

You know the way a lot of vishnu kids ride the wet? Thats how the hellbent wants to ski pow.

Can anyone confirm the widest part of the hellbents are the shovels at 160? If anyone has a set could they measure and confirm?

i need to make sure they’ll fit inside my single Sportube to get them home from Portugal
