Are grown ass men seriously arguing about which cartoon era was better?

YES THEY ARE

I just got screamed in the face by some drunk 20 something dude at a bar because I told him to grow up.

There we were having a normal conversation, and a few beers. This guy starts talking about how his era of FUCKING CARTOON NETWORK was better than today's Cartoon Network..my only thought during his whole Pointless rambling was... "motherfucker Cartoon Network is made for Kids of course YOU as a FUCKING ADULT will not enjoy the cartoons of today.. but guess what... THE KIDS ENJOY IT"

Yeah Samurai Jack, Cowboy Beepop, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy were all cool when we were KIDS but now we are grown ass adults..if you still watch the cartoons you did as a kid now.. as a grown ass adult.. I honestly feel bad for you. Now taking it a step further and lashing out at kids today saying their cartoons suck and therefore the kids today Suck... YOU need a fucking life you bitter old crusty dried up fucking kook.

you're legitimately way too upset over this.

Yea I am because this is a serious issue, it's quite obvious these grown men have problems that need to be addressed they have some type of mental disability.

The correct answer should have been, "once I woke up the next day and was sober I didn't give a fuck about this pointless argument I had at the bar never thought about it again."

Dude, clearly cartoons today blow balls. A lot of them are sell outs. It's completely reasonable to say cartoons today are much less creative and original. The humor has nullified all around. I honestly still watch a lot of cartoons as an adult. And I bet if you, as an adult, took an episode of a classic cartoon and watched it along with an episode of one of today's cartoons, you'd realize how humor, plot, and demeanor of today's cartoons are clearly less desirable and marketed much more to children. They try too hard these days, there's less input from the writer's and more influence from the production company or network.

Also the fact that that conversation bugged you enough to post it on newschoolers is odd

You're both wrong. The 90's were where it was at. We suffered through adult programming all week just for Saturday morning. It was worth getting up at 7 to watch cartoons on that most glorious of mornings.

- Duck Tales

- Darkwing Duck

- Tailspin

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

- Gargoyles

- Recess

- Doug

- Reboot

- X-Men

- Batman: The Animated Series

I agree that 90's cartoons were the best, and well cuz I'm biased. But looney toons are great too and they aren't 90's. Today's cartoons suck
