Are flips hard to do on skis?

I have skied for about 1,5 year, and I really want to start doing flips. I want to know what setup (Jump, snow conditions ect) that is best for training flips. I use my trampoline a lot, so I do backflips, corks, rodeo ect, on trampoline. Is flips on skis a lot tougher on skis?

Thanks

Try it for yourself on an airbag first before trying it on snow, and I'm not sure if your home mountain has a airbag, OP.

To answer your question no.

Backflips are scary to try because you have to overcome some mental blocks. At the same time it's one of the easiest tricks you can do. Just fully commit and they really aren't bad.

I learned them on an airbag, real quick. They are very easy once you commit. It's all in the hips. Pop, lean back, and throw your hips up and over head, look back and spot landing... I threw about 40 of them on the airbag before I tried it on snow. Very easy trick once you get past the mental block.

Backflips are one of the easiest tricks you can do on skis. I personally find a backflip about as easy as a 360. For your first try I recommend building a jump with a decent lip into powder. As long as you commit to it, you'll stomp or at least be close to landing your first try. Good luck

I need some advice i literally can do EVERY single flip on a tramp except a back flip. Any other first flip recomendations

like everyone said, it's a mental block. the physical part of flipping is super easy and even natural, but the mental 'stopping halfway' is what makes people eat shit. my first backflip was accidental, and after that i lost the fear and never had a problem doing them over and over. one thing that can help is having someone put their hand on your back and help guide you over, or perhaps just trying a back handspring will work for you.

Every flip I've taken to snow was first tried on a decent sized jump into a good powder landing (don't have a airbag at my local mt). If you are going for the backflip first I would go build a lippy jump with a lot of kick. Make sure you balls up and commit and you will be fine.

If you can do it on a tramp, you can do it on skis. Perhaps you need to trow it a wee bit harder to counteract the extra weight on your feet but if you commit fully you'll be fine.

Backflips are incredibly easy. Learn them on a trampoline, build a 3 foot high poppy jump, send it.

try building a jump in your yard or somethin if you have a hill. Make it poppy and a couple of feet high with a soft landing

Just don't throw it with your hips OP, hips are for later when you start laying them out but learn proper technique first
