Are flatspins impossible on trampolines or am I retarded?

Ok so I'm trying flatspin 5's on the tramp and I suck miserably at them.

I'm throwing my left shoulder forward and up and grabbing critical, but I feel like when I throw it I cant get high enough. I feel like the way I'm throwing it is messing with my bounce. I get most of the way around but land on all fours with probably another 45 degrees left to spin.

HELP! What am I doing wrong?

which way are you spinning?

yes there possible but there kinda tricky, most of the time for some reason i land like 500?

i spin left and i throw right hand up and left and then lean back a bit to put my sideways...uhh k damn this isnt working explaining this...

if you can do a sideflip i think the easiest way to explain is to like jump throw your sideflip a little infront of you and up and dip your backwards, it puts you into the spin.

sorry for the poor description but i tried

Im spinning to my right.

I throw my left shoulder forward and grab critical then look over my right shoulder kinda.

It feels right, I go up and do the flatspin part, then bring it around almost to my feet. Its just ridiculous, I can't bounce very high when I throw it.

i can do em

flat spin 9 at the highest

i just cant describe how too sry.

but yea there hard to get, and right away you WILL fall off

your retarted

just start with lincons and then try and do lincolns with a 180 at the end then work on some grabs and going off axis its not hard

im pretty sure i can do them now, but i could not for thje life of me describe how tobut like that guy said i practiced with a lincon type flip first and eventually learned it

i can kinda do flat 3's and they suck
id suggest trying them on one of those huge olympic tramps with giant pads all around it

I can't do em, but my brother can practically throw them in his sleep. He just sets em like a lincoln late-180, and says grabbing japan helps get the rotation right.

dude just pop and act like your grabbing your rear binding. I spin to the left so I act like im grabbing my left back binding with my right hand... that should help set you on your back and your feet will just float around

check my vids i have a clip of me on the trampoline

you didn't do a flatspin in your video

i know a guy who is a professional snake boarder and is absolutely ridiculous on a tramp and he swore it was impossible to do a true flatspin on a tramp

They are not that hard, its just an awkward axis when you first start... keep trying it and you will get it eventually.

I friend of mine can do them pretty good on trampolines, and he tried to teach me a few days ago. He told me to spin 90, then start a backflip and bring your body around the rest 270 while finishing the flip. it's a weird feeling, but it looks a lot like a flatspin.

They aren't impossible. The best way I think to learn them is by almost trying to do your best jackie chan style crooked back flip kick. Drop your left shoulder and work on kicking your right foot into a crooked backflip/flatspin. Then work this more and more flat and the rest of the spin will come naturally. As mentioned above, japans are an easy grab to work on flatspins with.

you cant really do a flatspin, but definetly something that looks alot. i can do it but i suck at explain things like this, but yea its pretty hard.

I can proudly do rodeos and flat 5s. Just watch videos and then film yourself while you learn. If one goes good, repeat =).

the way i learned flatspins is i learned rodeos first which i think you know how to do. then i just bounced backwords, like faced the front on the front of the tramp. then when i landed i would land on the opposite end. helped me throw it more back and more flat. chyah.

there not hard to do at all once you learn them but they are hard to land. i can do them up to 810s about. its so hard to bring it around for a 9, i can also do a double flat spin almost. they are very hard to explain how to do though, id recommend you going to the trampolining cult ill send you an invite.
