Are Booster straps legit?

I've been using a pair of world cup booster straps for the last few years and I can't tell if they're actually that much better than the factory Lange power strap or if they're just a gimmick. What do all of y'ins think?

depends on your stock booster strap, but the fact that you can tighten them with just a pull vs trying to fuck with velcro is way better then all the boots I've had.

The argyle strap danglin' out of your boot is guaranteed to get you bitches, lets people know you are hardcore and the stock strap cant hang.

A common mating call is to bend down seductively tighten the strap before dropping in. It's highly effective

I swear by booster straps. I don't think they deliver the massive performance boost people expect but they are far superior to stock power straps (depending on the boot).

Keep in mind that the world cup booster strap is only one true elastic band then two sewn together bands so that it is basically just another super stiff strap. The expert strap is 3 elastic bands that provide more of the performance most come to expect when trying to achieve the benefits of a booster strap.

Most out there just buy the world cup since they assume it's the "best one". I weigh 175 lbs and the Expert is perfect for me, still very stiff while still retaining some of the rebound properties known to booster straps.

It's true, I couldn't resist after he did that, and we went home together the next day.

The main reason I'm sticking with them for now is because the stock velcro strap from Lange is always loose by lunchtime. But the Lange strap is a lot wider and does feel like it holds your leg better when you first tighten it, so at some point this season I'll probably do an experiment and change straps at lunch to see if I can really feel a difference or not

I’m on larges and it def helps

One of the big advantages to smaller height booster straps is the ability to tighten on your liner alone above your shell(not on the outside of the shell like a wider factory strap) to reduce any slack between your leg and liner. Then you can crank down your buckles easily on top of the tight liner. Find it more comfortable this way and chances of boot bang is hugely reduced.

So always try the booster on the liner alone/above the shell and on the outside of the shell like a regular strap to see what way you like better. Most people who don’t find “much of a difference” might have only tried it like a factory strap outside of the shell.

Can't be a gimmick!!!!! Look at all the race skiers using them! Cough cough. Ha ha ha ha.

Probably don't need them, but they sure know how to advertise!

Have seen these and they were be perfect for boots like Full Tilts with it’s separate inner straps for the liner and for the outside of the shell.

Yeah I’m a diehard booster strap guy for the past 10 years but I am going to give these a shot. Worst case I’ll modify the inner strap to work with my current booster straps.

Post a review I'm intrigued.

Any updates?

Yeah sorry forgot. So I cut the 2 straps apart due to me having skinny legs and the patriot strap wouldn’t get tight enough. And honestly not sure why no one else makes this. It’s seriously a game changer being able to tighten your liner like that. I am still running my booster strap too. I’ll get some pictures.

So you essentially have 3 straps?

No 2. One for liner (cut from the Patriot dual straps) and then my booster strap.

Kind of hard to tell from the pics but they both fit thru the holes in the back of FTs and then I left the liner strap undone so you can see it in the second pic.

That looks dialed! I’m going to steal your idea haha

Go for it! The dual straps are easy to cut apart just some stitches to cut then a rivet that you can work out. I was able to keep the rivet on the liner strap for some extra strength where the screw is. Just PM me if you need any help!
