Are Black Crows jerry skis?

Super 7 RD and super 7 HD are wildly different skis, the HD is basically a super soft, beginner pow ski (Wider should 7). The RD is a beefy, high radius big mountain charger that will devour your soul if you don’t actively stay on top of it and work the ski.

My friend had super 7s and he said he loved ripping all mtn on em, not sure how hard but they could handle big backies. Soul 7s are good til you’re airborn on hard pack or ripping chop. Will get some again in 15-20 years maybe, they’ll be vintage.

I think I’ve seen a few Rossi athletes skiing big lines on those, they do actually seem way more of a charger than the soul 7, wonder how that replacement line will be next season. RIP Soul 7

Yup

shoulda made a soul7 rd

If you're 40 and over it is a requirement that you purchase unnecessary expensive skis.

wow this is true. My uncle talks about his latest $1500 Stockli ski purchase as if it was totally normal

VOlkl skis have a heritage in my family. my billionaire grandfather created the ski company back in 1896. the company started with humble beginnings and now is a powerhorse in the ski industry. my dad took the company over and now he is one of the richest people in the world. I will soon have the inheritance and the power. I may look like a straight machine when I ride my VOLKLS but at least I look cool doing it unlike somebody on clack brows

volkl was founded in 1926

To be fair, I demoed some storm rider 88s for the hell of it once, and those things fucking rip.

Stockli are good skis, so are Volkls for that matter.

I got stocklis and I’m by no means rich, I was so proud to save an afford them, like anything else one works for and takes pride in , it sucks to see it get categorized as a dentist ski etc

I've been on the atrises as my only inbounds ski for a few seasons and like them a lot. Never really got that vibe from the company and don't see tons of people on them where I am.

If you must troll please try to be amusing or offensive or have some sort of gimmick, this effort is just not worth your time really.

To understand our transient nature is to accept that we are all just passing through one level of existence or being which we call earth and humanity. On another level, the possibility exists of many planes of existence which we may eventually or perhaps inevitably pass through. Each plane exists for us as a transient phase but the entire process continues forever and is thus eternal and universal. Our life as we know it on earth may be transient, but our spirit and soul will live eternally and continue to migrate through these other planes of existence. in this sense, my time cannot be wasted, for I have all the time in the world. fuck you

C'mon bruh, you can do better than some weak copypasta.

Put some effort into it.

nothing wrong with volkls I just don’t ride them because my ex boyfriend is sponsored by the comp jock trinity

They are def big in that market, but you need to check out the Captis (90) and Camox (97) that are pretty amazing in the park and on mountain.

I second that, my brother has the Captis, they are great

In my opinion you should never judge a skier by what skis they are riding.

You should judge them by how they carry their skis in the parking lot.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Also acceptable to judge them by how well they walk stairs in ski boots.

Dude I’m sponsored by Volkls, and I’m gonna name my son Volkl. If that’s not brand loyoalty, I don’t know what is

Not as much as DPS. Those are the ultimate Jerry ski, but I will say Black Crows is rapidly approaching them. Not because they aren't good skis, but there is certainly a high percentage of Jerries that suck at skiing but think they are really good and have to have the what they perceive as the cool kid ski, which is Black Crows. I think you have to give props to Black Crows for being so cool, the dorks are now on them.

Agreed. Black crows makes some fire skis and excellent graphics, they've just become popular with a certain crowd. Reminds me of faction in that they often follow the same theme but continue to creatively expand on it in terms of graphics. Not to mention julien regnier deserves the upmost respect

Huge facts about Regnier hes a ski engineer god

I personally skied the Atris's for 3 years and had nothing but good things to say about them. They are not for all skiers as they really started to come alive above 3rd gear. They required a strong, aggressive, fast skier but could literally handle anything you through at them. Pow days, groomers and even park and pipe. Again not for everyone, but definitely caters towards the more advanced skiers out there.

anyone try the new justis?

And how does it rate vs camox and atris?

Justis is a heavier and damper (a la Nordica Enforcer) because of the Titanal. Super planted and stable at just about any speed.

Camox is a great ski on groomers and can really rail turns but does have a speed limit. Great in the park too, stable for jumps for sure.

Atris is more directional than the Camox, with less rocker in the tail in proportion to the nose than some of the other skis (Captis, Camox, Anima). It rewards strong and aggressive skiing, and doesn’t really appreciate being driven from the backseat. It’s really versatile though, and can handle just about anything one can throw at it.

Totally not jerry skis. My pow and old park skis are Black crows.

only problem with the brand is they aren’t focused, made worse by selling at REI.

Jerry would be rental, 90s, 80s skis, etc.

Jerries? Anyone saying that about a ski brand is probably one.

I know, because it takes one to know one.

Just have some fun, and quit worrying about everyone else that bought a certain ski brand.

If someone gave you a new pair of Black Crows, would you ski them or give them away to someone you think is a Jerry?

You know what to know what really killed newschoolers? 13 year olds posting threads like this daily that sit at the top of ski gabber. WHO FUCKING CARES?

What kills Newschoolers is that this is a seasonal sport. A lot of people aren’t thinking of skiing in August.

Plus it gets very heated and judgmental here including with mods that it pushes people from not only this site but the sport.

Your not wrong, it “freeskiing” maybe one of the most toxic sports I’ve seen. Like for real one of the most active threads right now is 100% about “image” / “perception” based on the brands you wear. I literally can’t think of any other sport that comes close.

Oh and the abundance of “pros” that don’t even get paid and act like king shits. If you disagree I encourage you to visit any dew tour stop and see how these glorified children carry themselves Out at the restaurants/bars its fucking gross.

There’s surfing where if you surf at the wrong place a surf gang will slash your tires.

Lots of unwritten rules in surfing.

Image matters too.

I picked up camox kinda right before covid hit the fan, and atris during summer sale, I've been summer skiiing(outdoor) and indoor skiiing all summer, but now you got me all happy and stuff to try them out and for proper steep hills to open.

I like enforcers but I feel they have a to low speed limit and not chargy enough, I feel like all of them dont like much above 50, no matter what width or length. awesome for tree skiiing though. Beeing a bigboy I feel they are .... fairly light :p
