Are Anthems bad on hardpack?

I ski in Nova Scotia, so there's rarely powder. But when there is I ski it, and the rest of the time I ski park. I'm 5'8" and 130 pounds. I'm looking for a really light symmetrical ski that is really good for spinning. I like Anthems cause the Octoland graphics. Any suggestions on what would be a good ski for me?

anthems would be a good ski

maybe a little soft though

or moment rockers

also,

if you search "anthems" in the "google custom searchbar" at the top of the screen

you will find a variable gold mine of information on pretty much anything you could want.

I rode my anthems for a decent chunk of the spring last season which included a good amount of riding on hardpack. They are soft, so they aren't going to carve like a stiffer ski, but I never felt like I was being held back by that, it just feels a little different. And they are so sick in the park that its worth it.

reno jib are def stiff than anthems. they are sick and are light. they are also wide enough for pow and they are semetrical. moment has sick custimer service, too

my anthems carve like no other on hard park, especially with the elliptical sidecut you will have no problem laying out sweet arcs if thats what you're going for. also im bigger than you so im not sure how that will affect it but i would think with a smaller size the same performance would occur.

What kind of question is that?( no offense) They are park skis, and park skis all work good on hard pack. Think of this, does your or any park have deep powder in it?

Volkl Wall. Problem solved.

I have anthems, they are fun, buttery and forgiving. But the Wall kills it for jumping and spinning. They also carve nicely. Walls are stiffer, but way better for jumps, whereas Anthems are a lot more buttery (not to say you can't butter the walls, but it will take a bit more muscle) and will float a little bit better. anyyywhoooo, both are sick. If you want something stiffer and more responsive, Wall. Buttery and more forgiving, Anthem.

Ya

Although I liked my Anthems fine for hardpack and I'm 5'9 140 lbs. and pretty aggressive and they skied fine, not like race skis or anything but they are a mad fun ski. If you wanna really carve and shit go with Walls cause they are stiffer. Either is a great choice the Walls are stiffer, the Anthems are more buttery yet not noodles.

take in mind that anthems are 92mm under foot

and the walls are 87

it's only 5mm difference but take in mind with that anthems you have more surface to land/slide on

it will also hold it's own in powder a little better

1) anthems are ok on hardpack but not amazing, they hold up ok..
2) Walls are much better on hardpack and they do ok in powder.. I used them in up to a foot of pow with no problem, not noticeably worse than anthems..
3) Walls are heavier than anthems but not so heavy..

dude go with the reno jibs, lightest ski on the market other than the jon olsson pros, mid flex, symmetrical, i have mine currently being mounted right now!!!

go for them i also had invaders and they were really fun but really easy to wash out on, so obviously the anthems will too because they are essentialy the same ski just a little wider and with a different name and topsheet.

the flex on the anthems is buttery but not noodly

i doubt that you will complain about it

i would personally go with last years anthems (with the wolf)

but you can't go wrong with either ski
