Are Afterbangs Right For Me?

I'm 5'11, 125 pounds, lanky as fuck, and I'm not very good at park, I'm just kinda starting to go H.A.M. this year. Anyway, I was looking at the 166' 2012 Afterbangs, everyone at the shops said they had them and they were great rather to pointing to the more expensive options that were there so I assumed they were being honest. I'm just looking for a pair of buttery ass skis.

Anyway, I still need to have a bit of an all mountain ski since I do still ski other terrains with 'em, so should I get the Afterbangs for my 30% all mountain 70% park shenanigans?

you need way bigger than 166. Get at least 178s or a one or two sizes bigger than that 166. I don't know exactly what sizes afterbangs come in

Only get Afterbangs if you're going to ski 100% rails all the time always forever and never go near anything else but rails.

Or just buy a real pair of skis and not that skate deck garbage with shitty bases.

the question is are you right for afterbangs..?

but seriously, i've heard a lot of mixed reviews and what not about abangs. i hear they arent very good for carving and they aren't a very good all around ski. if your into rails and thats your thing then i think the afterbangs would be a good ski for ya. they have some pretty sick graphics too.

if you do go with em, i would get a little bigger ski than a 166. i would try and get something around 172 or 174 if you can. but i wouldnt go any longer than 177.

Abangs blow big time. I couldn't get over how slow they are. I would recommend K2 Domains instead.

lolz this. If you're super lanky, you probably are not very strong, no offense, and abangs are really heavy, thus they will prove hard to swing around or rails and such.

I had abangs and didnt really like them. I would not reccomend them for you either. Maybe check out some halos?

No do not get the Afterbang. They are slow and VERY HEAVY. Skied my first season of park skiing in in a pair of to big afterbang. NEVER AGAIN!

im the same height and it seems like i ski about the same as you and i have 166s but im like 160 pounds and i havent had a problem with the weight of them but ive never had another pair of park skis so i cant compare them to anything
