Are adjustable ski poles the move?

No. Things with moving parts suck. Like goretex, it is a marketing trick. It’s like walk modes on resort boots are you kidding me.

Nah

But really i had mine set to 110cm and almost never changed them so i guess they were kinda pointless to me atleast. And like others said these were expensive, heavy, and had also had huge baskets which i wasnt really a fan of

Actually touring pole are ?

in my opinion I ride in Quebec and I love park but when it’s a powder day it’s fun to have a little space to adjust for different type of terrain …

I'm in the same boat: get one adjustable set for both resort and touring, or two sets one adjustable and one not. My current poles have no baskets left and they can't be swapped out.

I have Paintbrushes and they're nice. I used to ride them "standard" height for big mountain and 40" (minimum height) in park. Nowadays, however, I prefer always riding them at 40" as it helps me get low when skiing moguls and other tight terrain. If you ride different lengths in park than big mountain then maaaaybe get them if you can find them on sale.

Pollard Paintbrushes are legit amazing. Been about 40 days using them skiing. No problems. No bends.

glad you're using them skiing not some other way :P
