i want a soft as shit ski to do butters with. is there anything softer than 1260s?

oh yeah get a pari of 1080s and ski on them for 10 days and then they will be the noodle master

actually i tried some fuj's and some ar5's and couldn't butter any easier than with my 4frnts. i can do like tail manuals for about 50 ft or so but i want a total noodle.....also does centermounting help for tail butter?

if you really want a noodle ski def get the 1080's. holy crap my friend had his and after a couple days they get so flexy its crazy. like you wouldnt believe how flexy it get untill you see it for your self.

 
^old ones or new ones? i tried some of the spaceframe ones a while ago, and they were pretty soft, but it was almost two years ago and i don't remember if they had the softness i'm looking for (they were pretty unstable at high speed though)

hey strode, I used to have some scratch fs and they were veritable noodles. Get an old pair, they butter like Betty Crocker. oh, and I had 1080s too, and the fs are softer. whoever said ar5 = hasn't tried other skis. I have owned 1080s, scratch fs, skogens, and ar5s with the ar5 being the hardest to manual/butter

it's not like i'm looking to spend a ton of money and just use a pair of skis for buttering....i can ''butter'' in the skiing sense just fine (i.e. tips off the ground a tiny bit as you spin a 180) but i ski with a bunch of snowboarders and watch a bunch of snowboard vids and i want to be able to do a more sustained butter (i think i need tighter fitting boots as well)....i dunno though it was just a question dude.....what does it matter to you anyway if i suck or not?

and ar5s have possibly one of the softest tails i have ever seen, my brother lands a little backseat and they bend in half

to answer your question, the 1260's are pretty much noodles. as long as they are semi warn in. my old blue 12's are easy as snap to butter with. i try to butter with not much luck on my stuff as steel mad_trix, then i go to the 12's and i fall over becasue there so soft. and they are pretty cheap too now

woah i cant belive your saying the 1080s are soft, the 1260s are a million and one times softer then the 1080s. ive skied them all this season and yeah their waaaay easy to butter on but, thier just waaaaay to soft of a ski if you plan on leaving the park.

To the guy with Mad-trix and 1260: You can butter with mad-trix, it just takes some mad-skill.

To Strode: Snowboarders can just butter more easily becasue of the way they are set-up so they can buy stiffer boards and still make buttering looking simple, you just need to learn to butter on you 4frnts better, I have seen people butter on the 4frnts just fine...actually better than fine, amazingly well, I recomend you get a pair of Mad-trix and ski them every day for a week and just try buttering untill your shins and calves hurt too bad to do anymore, then get your 4frnts out of the closet and you will be a MASTER...the BEEF MASTER BITCH!

OH and you may want to buy a camelback with those 1260's, there the weekend worrier skiiiii...eeeeeeeeeee

1080's are super soft after u use em a lot cause they have a foam core and it starts to deteriorate after a while.

ya, 1080's are incredibly soft, i have the green ones and they are almost too soft, in offpiste conditions if you land back seat at all its a little scary cause they wash out

yeah the 12's are scary soft too. i am 145lbs. and the skis i have are 164's and i feel like if i flex a little to much they would snap

i dont know how anyone thinkgs the ar5's are really that soft. 1260's, skogens, 1080's after they are worn in, fujatives, scratch's and probably the mike nicks are all softer. and yeah, my 1080's are the softest skis i have ever skiied, i have probably close to 100 days on them, and the core is totally shot

 
My old Salomon 720's are pretty damn flexible but I dont know if they are softer than the 1260's.

i've heard everything from ''softer than soft'' to ''really stiff and stable'' so i really have no idea what to believe. but the line guy who was selling all of next years skis a week or so ago said they were about twice as stiff as 1260s
