Arctic Systems has officially gone live

those look so sick. too bad i am poor and the only thing i need a computer for is newschoolers anyways. but they are sick nonetheless.

That's actually grossly untrue and you should do some more research.

AMD processors are known for running cooler, and also run at much lower voltages, thus saving energy.

Intel is a joke if you ask me.

good for you dude. youve got a passion and youve run with it. i just gotta figure out what mine is cuz im certainly not making the PGA tour

any AMD processor i've owned ran hot hot hot... but that was a few years ago

anyhoo, your site looks slick. i really dig this idea and i hope it takes off for you. perhaps i can convince my father to buy a few of your desktops for the office :)

We custom tailor packages for small businesses, so def shoot me a line.

Also AMD runs hot still, just not as hot as Intel.

The best processors out today for heat and energy issues are from VIA, but they are hard to get ahold of, and hard to get into a system that works well with them.

None that i can find.

I really like this thing you got going right now. Hopefully it will work out for you and you will live happily ever after!

damn shit looks solid and eco friendly!!! rents should be picking up a new desktop soon i'll throw a word in

Yes, but it costs a ton to do a laptop run. It is in the works though, don't expect to see them within a year or so though.

I guess I'm not into the whole "green" thing. I like recycling and will buy a "green" product if it's the same price as it's competitor but there's no way in hell that I would pay extra or even the same amount for a computer or a processor with inferior performance. If you had done any research you would see that any Intel processor currently being produced will beat the AMD processor that costs the same amount. All the power to you if you're willing to sacrifice to help the environment because I will not sacrifice.

On a side note, I like your website and your idea but it feels a bit unprofessional, and it takes too many clicks to get to the actual tech specs of the computer.

PS: Don't feel insulted or take it personally; I'm not in the mood for an arguement.

Nah not taken personal. AMD and Intel both have processors on their line ups that rival one another, AMD just takes a different path then Intel.

But yeh if you want just solid GHz intel is the way to go, if you want all around performance AMD is the way to go.

The overall clock speed isn't everything that makes a processor good, that's mostly marketing.

But yeh we are gonna add a direct product link on the front page, just figuring out how and where to put it.

Thanks again, and no hate, appreciate all the comments and critiques :: )

case is bland, would look better without the black gloss on the front. other than that, looks good, and the website is really slick, simple colors and graphics, but still catches your eye. did you design it yourself?

and post this shit on a greenpeace or peta website, they will eat this shit up

peta is the anti christ of all that is right in this world, they are a cult and compare having pets to the nazis and their camps.

greenpeace is legit, a bit to extreme for my liking though, I believe in taking a route without any conflict whatsoever.

And yeh we have a new series on the way with a larger monitor, special limited snowflake white case, a better processor, etc.

I had to take a moment and say that I'm very glad the site was received with positive feedback. I'm responsible for the design of the site and Its good to see that it translates to words such as "slick". :)

I hope Enlighter is succesful in his efforts to create a brand that is seen as eco-friendly, I wouldnt mind switching my energy hogging system for an eco-pc.

@Eric - We're planning on creating a direct way to get to the product specs page, thanks for pointing that out.

@GhostfaceKillah - Good eye :) The site is currently on noindex so its invisible to search engines and has not been submitted to any. For the first release we wanted to make sure the site is friendly to users first and then optimize it for search engines and submit the site with the proper meta details.

You guys might want to list the benefits/savings of this comuter compared to a similar desktop made by a larger manufacturer. Also, you gotta let us know when you start makin' sales!

Yeh, I wanted to implement something like that, but it was not crucial to the site going live. And sure I will be happy to post back here once business gets going, already had a few people from here PM me about it.

i dont know shit about computers and i dont really care either, but i know for a fact that my cat is much happier getting her ears scratched and eating food that keeps her healthy than being out in the wilderness on her own, so i agree, fuck peta

Once Apple agrees to let other's customize Mac based systems you can be assured we will offer it, until then they are gonna enjoy the profits they are reaping from doing it their way :: )

Oh thank god you ship with XP. It's way too hard to find a non-vista PC these days.

Just as a suggestion, I would post some information about the actual savings in energy consumption from running your computers.

Going green isn't all about the environment anyway, it's a money saver too.

Awesome man. im in the market for a new computer so when i get money ill hit you up. And when I see you in PC magazine ill yell NS!

Gotta tell you, what you have done is incredible, but in this market it's just not going to be profitable. Props regardless and I hope a major company buys your copyright and lets you work with them to further advance this idea. Good luck
