Arch pain?

When I'm skiing sometimes the muscles in the bottom of my arches bother me. its usually only on steep bump runs. i figure it comes from gripping the sole of the boot with my feet for more control. anyone else experience this?

never heard of it happening to anyone. but it might be because your boots dont fit well and your feet bounce around when you ski over the bumps.

custom footbeds. my boots fit pretty well. it's not a pressure point but a muscle pain. i do have a little too much space around my ankle...i wonder whether that's part of it.

Are they new boots for this season? I got new boots in Feb. last year and my arches were really bothering me for about the first 5 days on them . . . . . even with the custom footbeds from my previous boots. But after they broke in a little more they felt/feel perfect. So they might just need some time . . . . where em' around the house.

They're maybe four years old. Skiied about 45 days in them. The liners are heat molded and the beds were made from a positive-weight mold, which I know isn't ideal. The pain is nothing I can't ski through but I thought I'd throw it out there.

i have the same thing. i had old boots that did the same then i put the gel heel inserts, its makes ur boot a wee bit smaller but it helped.
