Im 5'10 im about 160 pounds

Im and agressive skiier im loving pipe and big jumps and still love rails and shread up groomers

and the odd pow day

what ski do your recomend?

ski'd chronics, not ar6's so i cant give super detail on them. my chronics killed it for many years. they are a ski that can shred groomers and you can still take it on the big juumps and play on the rails with, and then powder for pow days. ar6's i've heard are more park orientated than chronics, but again im not completely sure. both are great skis and i highly doubt you'll be dissapointed with either one. chronics hold up very well, as with armadas

You don't like line? Is that why you had chronics and repped them in your sig? Don't blame Line for your inability to ski properly. Chronics are awesome skis, you just didn't have the skill to use them. And if you couldn't ski your 176cm chronics, like hell you would like and be able to handle ep pros. I am willing to bet you have never even seen ep pros so how can you say, except for ep pros? You just said that to appear cool because of how many people love eps.

horizon, since you're rather new here, you need to learn something. i know i havent been here that long either but long enough to know that you dont have to call out someone and be so disrespectful. we all love skiing, so why must you insult this kid so much. he's stating his opinion, i know a lot of people that dont like line. why not ask him WHY he doesnt like line? its annoying how you automatically must 'hate' on someone like that.... its the internet for gods sake, and a ski website at that!

Sure, sure, whatever you say you phony.

When did I say anything about what year chronics you had? I know you were riding 09's since you posted pictures of them talking about how awesome they were. So your second point is totally fucken stupid, and I have no clue why that was your second point. If anything it reinforces that you didn't have the skill to ride them, because why would you not be riding your 09 chronics this year?

Your third point is also fucking retarded. You, yourself, made a thread whining that you couldn't turn them. It's why people make fun of you all the time and call you out for being a moron that has no place giving advice. You also have bitched at people for suggesting skis that are too long for them........hmmmmm now why would you do that if you had no trouble riding those 176 chronics that people suggested to you?

Your fourth point.......ya I am calling bullshit on that one. If you couldn't ski your chronics then no way could you control ep pros. You can talk around this all you want, but bullshit.

Your fifth point, I meant in person. Good for you for looking at pictures on the internet.

Face it, you are sore at line because of your own inability to ride your chronics. If you didn't like line why the fuck would you have bought 09 chronics for this season? Exactly what changed your mind in this very short time if not for what I have said? You go from being stoked on lines to not liking them in such a short time? mmmmk. How was line good enough for you just a couple months ago, to being on your shit list now? You don't know what you are talking about, and everyone knows it.

I might be new here, yet I have seen what he has posted and know why he says he doesn't like line now. Look at his profile and his name changes and you will know who it really is. I am all for people having honest opinions, but his reasons are utter bullshit.

To say you don't like a company is one thing, but come on. Look into why he doesn't like line and you will realize he is just putting down a company for his own faults. He's a liar that has no place giving advice about any company.

I know who you are on here. I lurked for quite awhile before I joined. I also saw how you kept posting the same questions about chronics over and over again. Then how you finally ordered them and posted pics of them up against your wall. You proceeded to recommend them to people saying how sick they were. You also kept advising people that -2 cm is the sweet spot like you personally knew. You had asked where to mount them a billion times just a week earlier and wouldn't make a decision till 5 threads later. But you still proceeded to speak and advise like you knew. You just repeat what other people that know what they are talking about say.

Then the real funny events came into play. You posted about your worst day ever and how you couldn't initiate turns on your chronics. People laughed. Jump to a couple weeks ago of your posting how height has NOTHING to do with ski length and how everyone on here recommends skis that are too long. But you proceeded to backtrack on what you wrote like you do on everything, including here. Sarcasm huh? Nice try on that backtrack.

So you never answered my question. How do you go from repping and loving line and buying 09 chronics to not liking line in such a short amount of time? You didn't have a bad warranty experience. It was cause you couldn't handle your chronics. You made a post about how you wanted a new ski and people called you out on why you weren't using your brand new chronics. So what would make someone buy brand new skis and then ditch them like that?

You make a billion threads on the same thing, you make yourself look like a retard and then try and backtrack on what you write every time, and you are hating on a company for your own failures.

To hate on any company because you can't ski properly is absolutely retarded and wrong. If someone has a legitimate reason to dislike a company that's fine, but you just shouldn't advise on any company.

dooooood get chronics. i have chronics and ive rode ar6s and i like chronics better. its personal preference, the chronics are stiffer so theyre a lot poppier than ar6s. ar6s are softer though and have sandwich sidewalls instead of capped construction. after about a season the chronics start to get more buttery and fun.

-k there's no reason to be calling someone out like that and telling him off for his opinion. Especially with 180 posts

correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't chronics sandwich contruction as well? I'm pretty sure they're not capped.

the chronics are stiffer if that makes a difference. i love my ar6's but sounds to me that you would like pipe cleaners. that'd be my reccomendation.

i was looking into the pipe cleaners but im scared of the race base

Do you just have to be smooth on rails or what?

the race base is sick. they're so stable i've heard and they are sick for hitting big jumps, because they're so fast. I've heard that they're good on rails, but i can't say from personal expierience, cause i don't have them.

Yeah i knew that the race base is fast and it's good in pipe and on jumps im jsut scared about rocks and abuse

i concure. if you look at *steezuschrist*'s profile, his used to be 8===D, and he infact could not turn his 176 chronics. i was doubtful at first until i looked at his profile.

4 things. the fourth is the only thing that really matters.

1. welcome to the internet. people are going to have different opinions (much like the real world, but you obviously don't spend to much time there either) the thing about different opinions are that people are allowed to air them, and are allowed to disagree with you. get used to it.

2. steezus can think whatever he wants. you aren't going to change it by calling him out on something that happened a long time ago. it was his first day on those skis. he eventually got used to them. maybe it was a dumb thing to rant about, but let me tell you, i spend a few months as Why_So_Serious last summer. my karmaz were at 3/10. i wrote a lot of stupid stuff, and if everyone held it against me, i wouldn't be able to do anything around here.

3. shut up and leave.

4. the chronics are a good ski, but i would go for armada pipe cleaners. i have heard alot better things about the pipe cleaners than the chronics. the truth is that armada is one of the best players in the game, and many will tell you that the pipe cleaner is their best park ski.

i have this years pair, and they nice and stiff for all around riding. never ridden ar6's before so i cant really say anything, but i heard they are fairly stiff too, so i would say they're a fairly similar ski, but not from experience.

as a personal preference, chronics. ive ski both, and thought ar6s were a solid ski, but lacking a little backbone that the chronic has. the all mountain skiing of the chronic is top notch, and its park and pipe ability rules. my real rational? durability. double thickness base and edge, as well as the thickest sidewall on the market. pipecleaners are great, but the race base is soft, aka easier to tear up on rails.

So i've decided no pipecleaners

Im not taking the chance on the base.

And there to stiff for me

I found last years chronics for like 187

Whats the diffrence between this year and last years chronics?

anthems? lol. naw, but id get the chronics. ar6s arent bad, but my friend has them and they chip like hell and hes 170 lbs, and they seem flexy on him. idk its up to you. i like line skis. IVE SEEN EP PROSS!!!!! in midwest, this g was ridin them in the park.

Hey..

I have line chronics, and they are really great, on jumps, groomers, and accepteble on rails.

I was riding the AR6 a couple of weeks ago. And it was better on jumps, rails. But not so good on groomers.

So choose ski after what you want to ride the most.. :)

how are the t halls i was thinking about them becuase since my hill is fairly small i want a ski i can play around on but will hold up pretty good for 60 foot jumps and pipe

And they seem pretty sick.
