Yes, he believes Palestine deserves its own state, but so does Israel. To say that he is burning in hell vilifies a man that does not necessarily deserve it.

You think Arial Sharron, George W Bush, and other world leaders are ever going to have a standing (lifelong) invitation to the Papal Christmas mass, I highly doubt we will ever see that day.

well, actually we had a great deal to do with the Palestinian/Israelie conflict. the USA was involved in the creation of an Israelie state, however, no one really considered what taking the land from the Palestinians would do (if you look at old maps, Israel was Palestine after all).

Something to keep in mind, extremists carry out terroristic attacks in his name, but that does not mean that he had anything to do with them (realize I'm playing devil's advocate a little here).

And in all honesty, I think the Bush administration should have pushed for Sharron to resign, or be removed of power since everytime there was a ceasefire, Sharron insited more violence.
