Ar6's VS Pipe Cleaners

Hello ppl, im in a bit of a dilema as to which ski i should get. I am mainly a park skier and basicaly never spend any time off-piste. Can you please point out some Pros and Cons of both skis please. Thanks

I was actually going to add a pair of PC's to my setup, but decided not to.

The flex of these skis are pretty similar.

Both have 2.5mm edges

Ar6's have a harder, easier to maintain base

PC's have a faster, softer race base

i really dont kno anything but id go ar6s just cause its more all around or just go salomon. srry if im wrong

lol, Salomon is pretty general. They manufacture a wide variety of skis.

In my opinion, they are pretty similar skis. Slightly different dimensions, a little difference in flex, nothing major. However, the main difference I am aware of is the speed of the base on the PC.

if ur thinkin like 90% jumps then id say ur safe to go with the PC if ur going to be doing more then 10% rails then AR6...I dont really know how thw race base reacts to being sliddin on rails but I havent herd anything good about it...

The new PC's have tougher edges and I think the base is a tad tougher for limited rail use.

The PC is lighter

And the PC is stiffer in the tail for bigger pop in the pipe.

For god's sake! The PC's HAVE, and have always HAD the same edges as the Ar6's. Gte it through your head! No change in the edges! Gosh!

Okay, I'm trying to make the same decision to buy one of these skis and this is the information I've come onto to.

The Pipe Cleaners have a comp series race base, so it's going to stick less to the snow and therefore be faster.......But the race base will wear down and get damaged easier than the base on the AR6(and the race base is extremely expensive to replace). But the more durable AR6 base is a little bit slower than the PC's. A good wax will take care of that problem though. So if you're not into rails at all you could go with PC's but keep in mind that you're paying around 80 dollars more for that race base, or if money isn't an option go for the PC's and buy new ones when you take too many chunks out of the base :). They're almost the same ski. Personally I'm going to go for the AR6's cause they'll last longer, and be just as fast as the PC's with proper waxing, and they're cheaper too ;)

the Dimenions for the ar6's and PC's are as follows..

AR6- 117-85-107

PC- 116-84-106

The dimensions are almost exactly the same, the PC's being a tad bit slimmer than the ar6's. But the main diference between the 2 skis is the base. PC's have a different, more race like base for keeping up speed in the pipe as well as jumps. And u must wax this base more than u would wax a normal ski, treat it like a racing ski if u will. If u are going to do mainly jumps, and not alot of rails, id go with the pipecleaner. They have the same edges as the ar6. Teh ar6 is an excellent park ski, my friend has them, and he loves them. They have the same dimensions as the t-halls also, but the t-halls are just a bit softer for mainly park use. i hope that helped u a little.

They're practically the same ski. There's no difference in speed or amplitude in the halfpipe.

Don't buy the marketing hype, save you money for something more useful.
