Ar6 or ar7

Well, they don't make the AR6s anymore, but if you can find a lightly used pair for cheap or find somewhere that still has some in stock, it's a great ski. That being said, the AR7 is also a great ski. You can't go wrong either way.

the ar7s are just a replacement of the ar6, just as the ar6s are the improvement of the ar5s, the key word is improvent, the AR7s now have the ar50 sidewall which is quite inovative and lightweight. the ar7s are just this years version of the ar6s, or the "new generation" pretty much the same ski just with minor improvements

Main difference is that the Ar7 is now ar50 sidewall (sidewall only udnerfoot) compared to the fill sidwall of the Ar6. Makes the swingweight of the ski much lighter and is said to be equally as durable and snappy.

Armada seems to think that it is pretty good seeing as the only ski in their entire line that has it for next season is the ARV.

I have both and the ar6's are flexier definitely, but the ar7's are lighter. Otherwiser they are the same width and have the same rise in tips and tails. I'd say ar7 is better.
