AR6 fragile? or is it me?

So I was super pumped, by having some sweet connections I was gonna be able to get this years armadas for cheap money.
After 1 week of riding them everyday, I'm having some minor concerns.Keep in mind my last pair of skis were some old Rossi Scratch (the type with the police tape on it)
After a few days of getting back into the swing of things with a lot of 3's, a few 5's and a few falls here and there, I started to get chips in my left ski, so i filed em down so they wouldn't peel off, and I just took a closer look at em today and a couple of these chips are pretty bad and seem like a few strips are threatening to delaminate.
Is it from anything I'm personally doing? I skied basically the same way on my Rossis and never had anything like this happen. Anyway to prevent it from getting any worse? And any way to prevent topsheet chips? I have quite a few on both skis.
Maybe it's just me but I feel like everythings happening at once and happening a lot faster than with my old skis. ANy and all help will be greatly appreciated

I know chips are normal I have a bunch and I'm not worried about them,I mean that the tips have the piece still there but there are 2 cracks almost running down either side. They're not long maybe 1/4 of an inch but if you grabbed it and pulled you'd easily pull a little strip of the topsheet all the way from tip to binding.
Like if you took a sheet of paper and a pair of scissors and cut 2 parrallell lines about 1/4 of an inch apart and 1/4 of an inch deep thats what I have, and they're raised a little bit from the rest of the ski.
Maybe I'm just paranoid because this is the first pair of legit skis I've gotten. I just feel like it's something not normal

Yeah, AR6s have really fragile topsheets. They chip more easily than nearly any ski I have seen. HOwever, they are built solidly aside from that and shouldn't be a construction problem, just an aesthetic problem.

It's nearly impossible to see but between those 2 deep gouges the topsheet and some of the layer underneath it coming up, right above it is happening to but it's more subtle in visual but just as bad in the peeling department

my old scratch's had those same gouges in about the same spots, so it isnt just armada

and its from your skis landing on top of the other. and the edge of one digs into the top sheet. it doesnt look like delam at all though. just some slices.

and scratch's had the 30 degree sidewall which in my opinion really helped with topsheet damage (keeping it minimal) where as the ar6 isnt sloped, and is more susceptible to chips and slices like that.

Don't kick your skis together and you won't have that problem...

Armada uses pretty strong edges and they will chew up the top sheets if you let them cross paths.
