Ar6 edge concern...

OKay so i have the 2010 ar6's and i noticed today, the edge on my inside left ski, the edge is worn to shit from rails, which i don't hit THAT often. Will this eventually stop because it looks like the edge is almost worn down to like one third of what it looks like brand new. Has this happened to anyone else?

Once it rounds out it'll start to wear less. You can also switch your skis around every now and then so your skis will wear more evenly, it helps a lot to lengthen the life of your edges/skis in general.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with Armada (in fact, Armada has one of the thicker edges at 2.5mm), edges just wear down on rails, constantly switching skis from one side to the other helps them wear more evenly. They most likely wont wear away completely, most of the time once they've rounded out the roll over the rail better and wear out less.

Okay so today while i was teacheding i happened to notice my edge has a nice big crack. I'm very confused because AR6's were said to be "bombproof" and i haven't been hitting rails that much. Does this sound warreentiable because were the crack is the edge is pushing up and last time i hit a rail i looked over my skis and they were not cracked. So basically my quickly dulling edges turned into cracking while skiing down gromed runs.

They wont warrantee an edge crack, but they might warantee it if the edge actually falls out.

you arent having problems with your skis if your edges are rounding and cracking. Thats normal park wear and tear bro

Nono like i kinda understand that but like i've had two pullouts the edges seem to be soft as fuck cause theres dent everywhere i really hope these are just a pair from a bad patch

dont worry about having edge problems if they are armadas. i have had my ar6s for a good 2 years and i have had no serious problems and they are still riding solid

instead of bitching, why don't you call them and see what they can do about it
if they warranty them, great! if they don't, i'm sorry

now i know you're angry and everything, but it's realistically a manufacturer's defect. i had my ar6s for 4 years until they broke, and the edges had zero edge cracks after those 4 years (at least 2 of solid park riding)
i hit a lot of rails, and some pretty big jumps, i had hard landings etc.
so instead of ragging on armada, try to contact them and they'll probably hook you up.
good luck

I took them into my shop and there forsure a defect but i have to wait for a while because these are my only skis and i actually need my skis but for me to get them warrentied it means i couldn't ride or work for 2 or 3 weeks. And im not meaning to be whinny or anything im just confused about why i hear all these thing about them being bombproof yet mine seem so have soft as fuck adges and such a soft sore aswell.

send them in and rent a pair of twin tips? who cares if you have to ski on rental skis for up to 3 weeks if armada is going to warranty your pair.

i got some good rocker on both of my tails, 2 edge pullouts, and multiple (havent counted them all) edge "dents" (if thats what you call them).

but quite frankly i dont care, i ski them really hard and beat the shit out of them. they're park skis, its going to happen no matter what, thats why you buy from backcountry...and they are my favorite skis ive ever rode, so you gotta give somewhere
