AR5s too short?

Im 6'3 about 185 lbs. Are the 181 AR5s too short for me? I ski mostly in the park. Ive posted similar threads before, but i'm still unsure.

 
I'm the same size and that's too short for me. Even for just park I wouldn't ski under 185, preferably longer though. I'm probably riding 186 Chronic Wides next season for park.

 
You could try riding the ARVs in the park, or you should just go with a different ski. It is personal preference, but with your height I think you could easily overpower the AR5. Try a little longer and maybe go with a ski that is somewhere are ound 90 underfoot if you can.

 
i think you should just give up skiing and play basketball. at 6'3" you must look rediculous in the park.

 
I'm the same size as you and a bit heavier, and 180 ar5s are my park ski. Although to be honest I'm not in the park that much anymore so I use them for groomers or whatever too. The soft flex is more of an issue than the length, but they're fine unless you're on a big sheet of ice.

 
if you are worried about it run the ARV 185...

thats what I do... I'm not even as tall as you, I'm like 5'10".

if they are as tall as you, then they're perfect. a little shorter or a little longer, they're good still. just so that they're pretty much your height

im on 180's and im 5'9" ish, so for 6'3" id say they're a bit short

im 6 1 160 pounds and i need new skis next year..i was thinking the 181 ar5's or the 178 invaders..which do u guys think? or should i get bigger?

i have 176 ar5's right now and they are defianatly too short but i dont know how much longer i should go

I don't think 5'9 is too short for 176s, thats what i ride and they work jsut fine

and more, much more than this, I did it my way

I think I need to stop buying 180's. they are huge on me....bnut I like the way they feel when I center mount them.

those will be FINE...im 3 inches shorter than you but i outweight you by 40 pounds, and my scratch BC 176 's are just fine...dont worry about it, just ski, its fun

 
its all personal preference,

you could probably ski them fine,

although i found the 176 to be a little soft for me, especially after riding em for a while

im 6'1" 160 and i ski a 180 public which isperftect for me.

if your a real aggressive though i would go a little bigger, and more importantly, a little stiffer, the

ar5 is a pretty soft ski

im gunna be on 180s and im 5'8 they are to short. long skis are pimp becuase when u do big jumps they look neater

 
Tha 187 is like 100 underfoot - plus candide can probably throw down a little bit better than me. or not. i've never skied with him.

 
if they ski is taller than you, its just right.

any shorter and your obviously a cheater.

 
i ride scratch bc's liek i said earlier (176) and i find them fine....however, if you're skiing icy stuff, the fat skis SUCK, as long as there is a little softness to teh snow tho they are a ton of fun and are fucken awsome
