which are better i have a pair of old skogens right now so i know there good ass shit but are the ar5's better or worse than the new skogens?

i would go with the skogens just for the reason that armada is brand new. give them a year and see what happens. the skogens are also a lot cheaper

i got a chance to ski these skis this summer at Hood.

the skogen is possibly one of the worst skis I've ever been on. it has no torsional stiffness, meaning it will wash out when you turn it, and you can't hold an edge on it. It feels like you're skiing with sneakers on and the edges are made of rubber.

the AR5 is much better. it actually skis like a real ski, and holds an edge. it's not the most stable at high speeds, but it gets the job done just fine.

now on the other hand, if you're looking for a big-mountain twin, go with the LINE Mothership any day of the week over ARMADA's ARV. The Mothership is super bona-fide. Light, maneuverable, stable. the ARV quite possibly sucks. so heavy. doesn't want to carve. impossible to throw tricks on.

 
See i have tried the Arv 175 for a park ski and loved it. Carved edge to edge, and was beautiful switch, i thought the were really light (s912ti bindings were on them) and had tons of pop. And so stable i could have sex with your mom on them and not fall over.

Quite possibly my next ski.

Everyone skis differently and likes different aspects of Skis. Find out what those are, then go out and try skis. If you can't find out what makes that ski good or bad, and determine if that's what you like in a ski.

i am offically making a support group for people that cant fucking pick a ski by themselves, and they need to come on NS and consult it with a bunch of people that really dont care what skis u ride because they probably know nothing about you and its a personal opinion and riding style anyways.... if you care to join message me, and i know after seeing some of these threads i hope to have 20+ messages soon, grow up fools and make decisions for yourself
