AR5 180??

HI guys , just a quick one.

This Year I bought a pair of AR5 180.

They are pretty cool , but was wondering if they a re a bit too tough for me.

I'm 147, 5.9 height. They hold very well the edge also on hard pack but they are quite stiff,

Do u think i would better go on a softer ski or a shorter one or it's just a matter of ability and i can get used of that?

In Italy there are not so many people doing freeskiing...it often happen to be the only one in the resort, so it's hard to find good opinion about freeskiing in general!!

hmmm yeah Id say they are actually a bit big for you. if your growin then they are fine which you prob are. I am 6'3" and I have the 180's they are perfect for me im 165lbs. so softer ski is better for you but if your growin they will feel better and better

I will never grow up an inch more! I'm quite old guys, but i don't mind, i'm having so fun with freestyle skis that i'll never stop doing it!

So maybe i'll look for the ar5 for the next season, the shorter one!

I had the trouble maker last year, good ski, but it looked to be very soft, it did not hold a lot the edge, with armada i can go fast also oin hard pack!

naw, don't listen to these gaypers.

I'm 5'11" 190 and i ski the AR5 176's and they are perfect and thats coming from a race background and can ski better then 99% of the people on here. the ski's are to big for you young buck...not for skiing in-general but for park,... you should be on the 170 or 176.

Trust me i'm a long non-believer of short ski's but its true... take it from someone who knows.

 
it's your weight that holds you back on the 180, you need to downsize...i don't care how tall you are, it your weight and skiing ablity that matters...the ar5's are stiff.

 
I don't know how ppl say the AR5's are stiff???? Mine are soooo flexy, with nice pop off lips. I think 180's are a little to big for you. I have the 170's and I'm 5' 10" and 135 pounds. They seem to be perfect for me. LATA

ONE WEEK WITH OUT SKIING MAKES ONE WEAK....

If anyone knows how' sthe next year armada will be (measures) please let me know, so i can make up my mind for the next year decision.

I'll go for the AR5 176 next year..

By the way do u know something about the new salomon foil 174???

yea ar5s arent that soft. there more medium then stiff. if your not growing then get the 176
