This thing is pretty cheap and I was wondering if anybody had used it outdoors for skiing. I mean its got good reviews and to hook a gopro to the top of that or something could make for some really cool shots. anybody ever used one of these?

sorry to burst ur bubble, but that would not support your bubble. its surprising how big of a copter you need in order to carry even a gopro

I searched for it's payload capacity, and found 250g (http://forum.parrot.com/ardrone/en/viewtopic.php?id=260). Without a housing, GoPros are 94g and with are 167g (HD Hero 1). However, you will suffer from less maneuverability.

It's actually surprising how much well-designed quads/helis can carry.

Just uploading a clip that I shot with my ar drone and gopro.

It is not really that nice - shaky and twisty.

Basically its a novelty with the gopro. Its way more fun without the camera on it.
