April Rail Event at...

Brandywine... It will most likely suck but it's skiing in April plus they are giving the money away to charity. Probably the only time you can hit rails at Brandywine and not get cut off by 8 year old kids.

After Brandywine closes on 3/11, we will be pushing as much snow as

we can to the bottom of Champagne, RJ and Downdraft... so that in a few

weeks, we can put rails in from the bottom of Frosty all the way over

to the lift between Champagne and Grizzly!

When that happens,

we'll reopen Brandywine for rails only on a Saturday and Sunday from

9am-4pm. No lifts, no rentals--just jibs, sunshine, spring air, Ski

Patrol, and maybe a little grilling outside if it's nice out. The cost

to come out and hit the rails either day will be $10--BMBW passes can't

be used for entrance--and all proceeds will go to charity.

The date has not been set yet, but it should be 2-3 weeks after Boston Mills closes.

i thought it was gonna be at boston mills, but i hope that they set up a DOWN FLAT DOWN kink and make it STREET style, otherwise it will prolly suck

The rail jam will be held at Brandywine on March 31st and April 1st.

9-4 both days

costs $10 which goes to charity (you can't use a BMBW pass for this)

NO LIFTS NO RENTALS and NO LITTLE KIDS!

how much longer do you think there's gona be enough snow to do something like this?...they're calling for 60s all this and next week

its probably not worth a 4 hour drive. they have some decent rails but nothing worth 4 hours. they'll probably be set up shitty anyways

The plan is to have several rails up. I can not guarantee that they will be set up good as it is BW. The plan is to have rails from Downdraft over to Champaign. That would be most every rail in the park. Hopefully when it gets closer they will post some pics of what the setup will be before people drive 4 hours to hit it.

the snow's fading fast. are they going to be able to pull this thing off? i'm really hoping its not going to be 300 kids hiking 2 boxes-

Take a road trip to Big Boulder this weekend. It's a bit of a hike however we still have 30,40 maybe 50 footers depends on how much more melts. still lift served. expect a lot of kids stoked to try and duplicate the VTO train. Mgmt supports the whole park scene, so everything is good. There are several from Brandywine who have visited this season and I believe they are coming again this weekend

The rail event is definitely goin down but it is Saturday (march 31) only. I was there today and they have a trap rail with no transition (yet), three boxes ( the rasta, the wide orange one and a flat down box)They also have a straight rail about 8' long. thats it so far i hope they are adding more but so far its nothing to get to excited about.

We've got around a dozen rails in at the bottom of Brandywine for tomorrow's Rail Day!

Waxing.JPG

One of our snow crew guys waxes a rail Friday morning... the first time he's done that in short sleeves, we bet!

The groomers were still out working on Friday morning... they will be

back out Saturday morning before the rail event to break up any hard

spots after the temps cool tonight.

No lifts, no rentals--just rails, sunshine, spring air, Ski Patrol, and maybe a little grilling outside if it's nice out. The cost to come out and hit the rails Saturday will be $10--BMBW passes can't be used for entrance.

This weekend's rail event will benefit the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter.

We will be donating all proceeds from this weekend in the name of a

longtime instructor and member of our BMBW Ski Patrol who is currently

battling ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.)
