Approach skis?

do any of you guys use approach skis with skins for backcountry access. i am tired of just plain hiking and think that approach skis would work better than snowshoes. im not to into splitboards mainly because they are so expensive and are so fucking heavy.

haha, im not too sure youre gona find many kids on ns who skin...im pretty low budget so i stick to snowshoes. im also not a huge fan of splitboards. skins are really the best way to go though.

i got some approach skis this winter and never used them. lame. i can picture them being sweet. however, after i bought them a friend told me they sucked. i'll let you know next winter.
