1st i get an ipod stops working 2months later.. fix it stopes workinf 5mounths later

2nd my brother gets ipod cant upload songs. fix it thenscreen brakes 2weeks after his warrenty is over

3rd i get a new Dell laptop. Everything is working good. I put in the ipod CD to download iTunes... everything goes good says to reset myt computer, do so.... poof computer wont come back on

It is formatted correctly....for an Apple. From what he posted, it looks like he's using it on a PC. That creates the problem that he described.

if he bought the old ipod then yes there could be a platform problem, but if i remember correctly all the ipods function on both pc and mac, you don't have to have one or the other, there is just one that works for both.

They work on both but upon purchasing you must take the ipod and format it for PC if you are not using on a mac.

I own both mac's and pc's, I have gone through this with 5 ipods in the last year. I'm not pulling it out of my ass I promise.

 
It's very common with Windows machines to have glitches in the first week or two, especially when installing programs, that cause a crash.

Seems like they need a break in period to get the motor warmed or something.

 
apples are the shit, they dont crash. EVER. you dont have to worry about those damn messages like, "your computer has preformed an illegal operation" you never get a blue screen or any of that shit. Its just always works. ALWAYS.

I have owend my pod for over 8 months, it just broke, but that is the way it goes. Shit guys, they are cramming a mini computer and harddrive into something the size of a cigarette pack, it is a sensitive device. I also have owned a powerbook for 4 months, NEVER had to force quit a program, NEVER had the thing freeze, and it is easily the fastest computer I have worked on, handling huge files for graphic design work, it is only rivaled by a powermaxc G5 that we have at my school.

I used my pod on dell before this computer, no problems at all.

I think that there is something wrong with your computer, and maybe something worng with the way you treat your pods.

 
macs are not as better as they are made out to be. I think their products, while they do look very cool and are easy to use, are fairly non-durable.

no apple sucks, my ipod broke, and my powerbook is a piece of shit. Apple's do crash, anyone who says they don't only uses safari and the calculator. Apple products are not very durable. Everytime they release a new update of anything it throws another program off, and messes things up. The screens on the powerbooks warp. Keys come off the keyboard very easy. And guess what, applecare doesn't cover keys, they consider it a cosmetic defect. Sure maybee a few things run better on apple computers, but it's not worth the extra cost.

My weiner is probably harder than yours.
 
so far ive had no problems with any of the numerous apple products ive bought, and ive got a bunch of them. not only have i had no problems, theyve blown the shit out of the pc counterparts. its funny how wrapped in the pc world some of you guys are

wrapped in the pc world? I have a Powerbook. its good, not durable, easy to use though.

OSX isnt that much better then windows xp. XP is reliable.

NO! if you factor money into the equation, and if you know how to use windows decently, pcs are cheaper for what you get. apples are good, and the os is pretty cool except for when it fucks up (not too often, but when it does, bad things happen). And I have to tell you, I have not lost many documents i was working on on a pc compaired to a mac.
