Apple is pissing me off

I'm fucking pissed. I have a 6th gen ipod (classic, 80gig) and all ive fucking had is trouble. I bought it mid july of 08 and it lasted about 6 months before it puked out and the hardrive crashed. Before that it sporadically froze, skipped songs, wouldnt play any songs was slow...etc. I just thought it was the shitty hardrive. Well I got it replaced and it's fucking acting up again. Skipping songs and not even playing some songs. I've fucking had it with this piece of shit. Apple should be embarrassed to stand behind this bitch.
Any other music players I can get that wont destroy my wallet and that will hold 12+ gigs?

I baby the shit out of mine. The only time I get rough with it is when it acts up, then throw the fucker on the floor.I've talked to some other people about this too, and they've said they had the same problems.

1. is it brand new or refurbished?

2. where are you getting your music (interwebz downloads or itunes/cds)

3. have you gone to apple and explained your prolbem(genius bar)

4. have you opted for any other ipod rather than the classic?

5.did you restore it before getting all pissed off?

do you ever take it skiing with you? freezing temperatures + water damage (cold air gets into the thing at the bottom, then warms up) = goodbye ipod

It has a brand new hardrive.I get music from itunes/utorrentNo because nothing else stores this much musicRestoring it does nothing, it solves the problem short term but then it just persists after about a week.

It wouldnt make the problem worse if there wasnt a problem to begin with eh?
Seriously, my old nano was and still is bullet proof. My classic has never run as smooth as my nano.

I've got no problems with my iPod at all. i have drop in on the ground a lot of times, lost it in the snow, it has been in very high and low temperatures, it has even been in the toilet 2 times. (shit happens when your drunk) and still no problems.

Yeah they're not even made by apple, they're made by Toshiba.

As far as freezing and being slow, I have found this to be true with all Classics. The memory can't handle the effects programmed into the firmware, especially when changing the volume on videos. Old iPod Videos (5 or 5.5 gen) had a much less demanding firmware and ran great, and I thought they were much better than the classics (plus you can hack em :) ).

If it's used off ebay it could have a pre-existing problem.

Oh yeah, when you sent it in, did you get a new one (new serial number, HD wiped, etc) or did you get your old one back but repaired?

box swap, my buddy did it with iphones, break urs, buy new one switch serial # sticker and ship old phone in new box. where you buy it from has almost everything to do with it

I bought a 120gb iPod, and the freezing temperautres really fucked with it. Having said that, my 2nd Gen iPod, with black and white screen, 20gb, is 5-6 years old, scratched to fuck, dented, but has never needed repair/ maintenance.

I bought it new from bestbuy about a year ago. Hardrive crashed 6 months ago and I sent it in and they replaced the drive. Its the same Ipod I bought.

I have a 20gb ipod photo, like 3rd gen? that still works, i think you just suck at taking care of it and thats coming from me who treats his stuff like shit.

6th gens are known to have these problems, which is why it pisses me off. If i had the choice I would rather get an older version. As far as taking care of shit, thats a big assumption to make about me.
