I'm on my 2nd iBook. I would definately recommend it. I'm actually into Photography as well. I did months of deciding between p'book and iBook, the iBook is the way to go. Buy it first, get used to it, and if you think you need more, sell it, their resale is incredible. I had my first one for a year, and sold it a year later, for $50 more than I bought it! Now I'm on a new G4 and it has plenty of power. Never had to wait for it. I take it everywhere. They also have the best wireless range, battery life, and are really durable. I've dropped mine without any damage. You think you won't drop a laptop, but believe me, it happens. Unless it just sits at your desk all the time, then you shouldn't be buying a laptop.
What's a good starter film SLR? Would you recommend Canon or Nikon? Everyone has a different opinion. I'm leaning towards a Rebel T2. That's what many professors told me is good for school. Anymore questions? Ask.
