man I gots a question, how is this computer? I havea chance to get one a good price, but is it a good computer? the one I can get hasthe super drive in it, so I can burn the dvds, but I just want to know whats the difference between the power book and th ibook? thanks

 
ibooks are great. they are a super dope computer and i had one all of last year and all summer. i recently upgraded to a powerbook which is just way faster then a ibook and just better overall computer. but for basic editing, memory, storing music and just fucken around on a computer the ibook is the shit. plus all the apple stuff looks like a million bucks. if you got a good deal on it and need a laptop go for it. if your scared thats its not compatable with other PCs, man works everywhere. you can get windows for mac if your really want it. but id say ikf your using it for school just get the microsoft office student teacher edition and your set. bonus's with macs. no virus's, way way less pop ups, and ease of use for alot of the programs.

cause there's always a bunch of programs that you might be used to working on with windows (CAD programs, etc) that don't have a mac version, or you don't want to pony up $500 for a copy, so it'd just be easier, not to mention more economical, to just run the existing program through VPC.

just got mine in the mail last week, it's great, runs smooth, quiet, and its a lot faster than my emac! haha, and 1.5 gigs of ram available is nutz. i'm using mine for graphics/video so it all helps.
