App for buying and selling ski gear?

This is just a thought, but I was thinking it would be dope to have an app that is strictly for buying and selling ski gear. Would have ratings on sellers and everything to stop from scammers. I'm high thinking of things and dont develop apps/know how succesfull this would actually be but yah.

Thoughts on an app like this? Would it fail or does the idea have potential?
 
Well NS has a shit ton of really awesome gear. Its just impossible to sort through it... I made the suggestion a while back, mod clarified my idea saying they could use tags to sort gear sorta like the video section. Click on the skis tag and you will see all the posts that have skis in them etc... Hope it goes through. Also NS is an app. So we have what you asking for. It just isn't ideal

Yeah I know NS has one but I also know a lot of people do not use NS anymore. But yeah it would be nice if NS started to sort the buy/sell section. Would definitely streamline the process when looking through gear.

So we decided this fall we want to work on BST, catch is we won't be able to work on it until summer :( but it's in the works...
 
What if someone just made a google sheets of all the available gear? It would be pretty easy to sort by category and price and what not.

As a heads up, we’re actually going to put some real effort into the BST system on Newschoolers in the coming months.

Hopefully we should be able to make the experience better for everyone.

It seems that people that want to screw you over are everywhere so the only way to keep them away would be to have it based off this site because nobody comes on here to sell random shit like the do on other larger sites such as ebay and amazon. It would also be a great way for companies to interact on a social marketplace to the people that are definitely going to buy products. basically a very general sketch would be similar to craigslist, but have your Newschoolers account power the app so you don't have to make another account for buy/sell. This way people are more likely to be familiar and maybe even know some of the people they are buying from based on Newschoolers rep. Doesn't necessarily have to be on an app but can go as a buy/sell tab on the top next to messages. Another key thing is that items should not be time based like threads but off of searches, make, model, size and company. The seller can just adds tags so it's in a certain category when searched.
