Apology

ok. How would you describe a big mountain skier?

Steeps? Powder?

Ask iggyskier about crystal mountain.

It's got some steep shit that nobody on the EC or midwest would ever see.

Park isn't all rails.

no, I don't just not ski the park.

I ski the steeps and the powder. I ski kickers and stuff in the BC as well, and that's why I joined NS, to learn some more freestyle tips and stuff.

So too bad if you don't think that I can ski the steep stuff.

If you can't and are envious that's just too bad for you.

i've skied crystal thank you.

Big Mountain skier = skis lines not where anyone in the public could ski. thats how im definding it.

im not saying your a shitty skier but i think your just hating on park cause you arn't good at it....(possibly)

if you've skied the BC in crystal (some runs there are brain damage, niagras) and stuff, then you would know that there are some steep stuff.

I'm going to high north and they will show me how to do rails. After that, I will be able to ski park fully. So jea.

ok, I've read both your threads now, and I'm really trying to see where you're coming from, but I just don't. in your other thread you didn't take back your opinion on what sums up to be a good skier, you just gradually gave in on that park skiing is fun. you are really drifting soo far away from your point that I'm not really sure you know what it is anymore youself.

and the apology is just dumb, because really it's no apology. if it was for everyone THEN I would accept it. EC skiers who only ski park (if they are good park skiers) are good skiers. ok, you agree because you stated that they don't have the opportunity to ski BC lines. true. BUT, if a skier from whistler only rip it up in the park day in and day out and totally kills it, then isn't he as good a skier as the EC park rat just because he has the OPPORTUNITY to ski big mnt? I mean come on!! it's not about what you have access to, but what you choose to get good at that makes you a good skier in that particular genre of the sport. I'm pretty sure you agree with me that Bode is an insanely good skier, but I'm not sure he can't throw down corked switch 9s just like that.

think before you make a statement.

other than that I do however agree with you that a good all round skier has to be good in all different genres of skiing.

you know what I mean, maybe Bode is a legit park rat, but most racers won't throw down on a really high technical level in the park because that's not their speciality

i think you pretty much have it there. it doesn't matter what you have access to. just ski whatever you have fun doing. that's why we all started skiing right? i know that's why i started and continue to

haha, so true. i think west coast skiers should never be allowed to say anything agianst east coast park rats because they dont know what its like to ski an average of 2 inches of fresh snow a year.

yea dude like even a small hill like holiday valley or snowshoe is sweet compared to where i go.. u can hit every run with the center chair... its pretty small so u can blaim us for hittin only park cuz thats all we got... unless we wanna ski down to the chair in like 30 seconds and not 30 minutes

i was apologizing to the people that didn't have a lot of snow.

And to people who think bode can't spin stuff and so rails, you're wrong. He can spin a 7.

THall made some shitty comment about him and bode owned T-Hall.

Um...

Bode spinning off rails? Back that claim up and I'll believe you....

Tanner made his comments in her Freeskier profile, about racers in the park/bc vs. freeskiers on a race course, and the money and salary differences....

Everyone knows about it, Rhalves and Hall's comments....so please...back that claim up.

the one i go to is like 350 ft or so, its a shit ass place called cobble hills golf and ski club. its really shitty, theres 1 chair and like 4 runs. but it has a pipe and a park, plus an illegal trail in the back thats fun to use. so im happy.
