what is this? zumies sells it and nothing else even has a trace of info about it. it says 10k waterproofing and both the jacket and pants cost less than 100. not together that is, but still. just wondering what the consensous is...
also, anyone know about there being a ziper that can connect the pants and jacket? thats what it says...

the oakley "vault" at my local mall had crash pants in light blue for $55 dollars and like 5 different coats for $120-$150

agreed, sick jacketsays 10k 10k, but to tell you the truth, wind cuts right threw itnot very durablebut they are sickthe blue one with the yellow is cute;) but not really worthwhiledont get shit from zumiez, go to a local ski/board shop and help out the local shopsdont buy into comercial shops
 
i havent owned iti work at zumiez and my co worker got it last season, at the endhow he got it, dont ask me, im still wondering hahabut thats the reveiw i got from itsick if its not fucking freezing outi think the best looking jacket still!!! and it can work, just wear the right layersi wore it once on a spring day at mt high and it was pretty sickbut that was just a lil desert mt
 
sick, so is it just not very warm for some wierd reason, for is it justnot insolated at all. its weird that it can be 10k and still not even be wind proof. im down with layers, but whatever. so if i get different sizes in the pants and jacket, willl be zipper between the pant and jacket still work? thanks for all of the help
 
my friend just bought the pants the other day for $85 i think, they're 10k waterproof and the quality and material doesn't seem that good but they look sick for sure
 
its ok wind proofi have worn worse that says its 10kbut yeahand i think it should work with different sizes (the zipper)i dont work this weekend, im leaving town but if you want i can check the shop and see if it all still works on monday or something

i have a nice aperture water repellent fleece hoodie/jacket. i do run a polartec under it when the temp dips though.

im thinning maybe yellow or pirple. im not a diva, so i dont really care. just want a good priice on good outerwear. that might just happen to look sick =)
 
true... but the brands i saw there i have never heard of, so i wont trust them. they did have spyder and burton tho, just not in the correct size.
 
i agree maybe with dark red. i hate brown. period. anything else besides brown and black. any ideas?
 
with outerwear...you get what u pay for...
if u pay less than 100 dollars on a jacket...lol....have fun with that.(im talkin brand new nubbbsss)

Christ kid. Get at least 10k/10k at a bare minimum. 20k/20k preferably or even gore-tex if you want to stay warm and dry all day in any conditions.
 
You an find 20k/20k easy for under $150 on NS or some other good sites mostly new and some used. I just got a brand new 20k/20k analog puffy on NS for $100 shipped. Got a brand new 2006 20k/20k oakley coat for like $150 last year. Just be patient there are some great deals to be had, also look at sac, wm, and td all the time.
 
geartrade.com I've found multiple 15k jackets for around $70 on there... they are usually burton or 686 (they have venom, orage, volcom from time to time) , but at that price who the fuck cares? and 686 is cool anyways
 
I got a gift card to zumiez and I was browsing their website and fell in love with the aperture jacket/pants. I ordered the blue one and I'm waitin for some more free money or maybe another zumiez card to finish up with the blue pants.

and to those who say not to support zumiez and their "commercial" crap. They sell a lot of underground clothing companies, ie: the imaginary foundation, theseventhletter, mishka nyc, etc. So by supporting zumiez you're also supporting those clothing companies.
 
have you been to a zumiez lately? it looks like a highlighter threw up. I'm glad all of those cool companies are getting huge orders from zumiez. but most people I know hate that company because of how they treat their employees. I know first hand that it is a super shiity existence working for that place. I'm all for small companies growing, but I'm going to let zumiez make their money off of 13yr olds who want to look like the warped tour tools. they run a poor corporation, low incentives and way too strict of policies. I love my new job at my local shop.
 
Oh, if you say not to support Zumiez because of the way they treat employees rather than their "commercialized crap" that they sell, I guess that is a legitimate reason.
 
i hate most of the people that work there too, they are always tripping balls and never any help. dont like it muhc. and btw, since im the thread creator, i need to let everyone know i just got spyder jacket and pants from NS for christmas. supporing better things, i took all of your words!
 
I wore the pants for the first time today (jacket is still stuck at zumiez HQ) and it's pretty damn good. It was cold and windy and I didn't even notice the coldness. It kept me pretty damn warm and blocked wind.
