overall...a very good list..your not gonna find your smaller underground artists on there and those were basically the best of the mainstream to be put out..i agree with putting dre somewhere on there...and even though i dont like eminem..gotta respect him being the only white cat to have done what he has done

i think its over all best hip hop, including influence and skill, and the balance between them, and the list is pretty good

taken into account the thousands of skilled mc's out there, the underground scene doesn't really deserve the list because unless you've made it somewhere, you're not the best...

you may be good, skilled, talented, etc... but not the best.

with that said, big l doesn't deserve that list unfortunately, but also people like afrika bambaata, who were around since near the beginning, don't deserve it either, because then you can keep going back to say spoken word poetry and such, and even other music like gill scott heron, and such,

the list is pretty good, stop arueing it and appreciate it. it's not often mainstream will recognize these artists.

oh, and its not top mc's, not top dj either, but top collectives of hip hop, including solo and group performances... so think of that

not bad in my opinion.

i'm not saying bam deserves to be on the list because he helped start/invent/progress hiphop and was there from the start.

i'm just saying, if you're going to put nwa there, it's clearly not for their lyrical abilities. it's history. i'm not doubting their influence as a rap group, but i don't think that earns them a spot that high up.

the beats are done by premier, pete rock, and other people who turned into legends. such a solid cd by the best rapper of all time.

2pac doesnt deserve half of the props he gets. very average rapper with dre making him rich....just like THE GAME.
