sorry man but greece is insanely cool.
yea, there is a lot of concrete ugly shit in most towns, and especially athens, and some other bullshit, but greece is phenomenal, especially if you're an ancient junky and enjoy good food (as is turkey, italy, spain, the Levant & rest of the mediterranean, etc etc etc). If you think greece is a shithole... you need to travel more, because you haven't seen shit.

 
whats so phenomenal? the ruins? sure they're ok if you're into history. Certainly not the landscape aside from maybe Meteora. Hell the food here in Greek town is better than the real deal over there. I'm not saying there arnt worse places but it really isnt all its cracked up to be. And saying I need to travel more to find worse places? Great advice froggy. etc etc etc dbag, it's sad that the other locales you've experienced in your life don't stack up to somewhere as crappy as the Hellenic Republic.

if I can save enough this year then next year I'll be visiting spain, france, italy, switzerland, germany, belgium, greece, and peru. If not then probably just peru haha

dude, I've been there a ton of times for extended periods of time, I have uncles and aunts who live there, my little brother just moved there to play soccer, believe me when I say I've seen more of the country than you, and that I've been to a lot nicer places. Get out of Europe more, it all sucks.

Is it really that shocking to prefer a houseboat and v-drive filled with my best friends chilling on the beach, wakeboarding on glass, miles away from anyone else OVER crowded tourist spots and poverty?
