Anyones current quiver not include twins?

i don't really get what your trying to say here?? is that we should try to go on a groomer and just mess around there? cause i bet you alot of people do that already when the park just get's way too crowed.

yeah i totally fucked that one... what i ment was a quiver with skis in it other than tiwns... Like carver or something like that and if so how often do people still actually use them

i think hes tryin to say that twins dont cut it on the groomers when compared to .... what a race ski? thats fairly obvious if thats what ur gettin at, but then you have to look at ever aspect like price tag and 'all mtn' terrain. i probably misunderstood and just answered a completely diff q tho...

i agree, im out of the park most of the time, flyin down groomers, and arcing into the snow. i would def have a pair of race skis, but as i was tryin to say b4, they are expensive comparitively and lack the all mtn performance that many twins will give. basically, when im rich, i will have one of every fucking ski out there...

having a non twin for carving is always nice cause honestly, there aren't too many great carving twins out there and a lot of non-twinned all mtn skis have a smaller turning radius which makes them a hell of a lot more fun to go carve on.

and sanouks. Or do they have a small up turn?

I have an Igneous FFF. A small twin could be nice, though.

Im a racer but i've always loved powder and cliffs and natural terain so yeh i got Race skis and ther real ones not carvers but Fischer RC4 GS factory team race stock 188cm 06/07 and the same in Sl. Race skis are the best ski out ther on the hard ice but can fuck u over cos most of u wont know how to ride em fast like real fast and still be able to crank tight carves and not just sitting on the edge. But im gettin twins for Pow and whatnot the new ARVs in 175. Should be sweet hope thers some good pow in the Aspen area when i arive. Nick

Sanouks have a small turn up, but I'm not going to try land switch on them.

The B3's and Tankers both have a slight upturn as well, but not enough that I'd call them even a half-twin. Besides, skiing a 195 B3 switch probably wouldn't be ideal.

I had the chance to test out skis from a few manufacturers this past weekend. By far the most impressive skis were from Atomic.

Their Metron skis were super stable at high speeds and had excellent edge retention. The triplets were the best twins out there, better than the sollys in my opinion. Great pop and has great stability.

The metrons are pricey, but definitely worth trying out.

I still have some '01 K2 ModX Pros, and they're a blast. They can really rip on groomers and ice, and are insanely stable at high speed.

hahaha... no I'm not. If I was a rep/employee for Atomic, I'd be out skiing. I just happened to test skis from Rossi, Solly, Head, and Atomic, and Atomic had the best performing skis while I was out there.

Seriously though, try them out if you're looking for a non-twin. I said try, not buy!

i have a pair of atomic non-twins. i love my twins but taking the atomics out after skiing on my twins makes me feel like Bode.

i have some Rossi Axiums. A decent all-mountain ski, but not a twin, and i havn't skied them in 2 years. just sitting in my closet.

yeah, i have eight pairs of skis and one pair of twin tips (sad story, i know). Ripping on groomers (when they're still courdoroy) is possibly the funnest thing ever. That might be 'cause i cant huck real big tricks yet. If you're looking for freeskiing skis get a pair of the Dynastar SL skis and get 'em short. I'm a light 6'1 so i like the softness of the ski and i ride a 152 from two years back. I also have:

Race Stock Dynastar Course Comp

Race Stock Dynastar Speed 68

Fischer RC

Atomic SL 9

Volkl P50

Rossi 9X

and finally- my Line 1260s

I have to say, ripping tight turns is fun, but i think you guys got it right by spending some time in the park and out doing backcountry and stuff. Thats why i switched.

here is my quiver,

Head World CUp GS 181

Rossingol 9s WOrld Cup 165

Fisher RC4

Head GS 170

Head madtrix 163

Candide thovex pro 156

Atomic 5.18 150 (my dirt skis)

.... and some salomom snow blades

um, groomers are fun with twins cus you can carve switch

its the coolest thing since sliced bread
