Anyone who owns a WRX

ya so have i, but im pretty sure hes running 40 on a stock turbo/everything. i may be wrong but hes also probally running 40 all day were the supra runs it for track days/drags ect only...
 
its my weekend driver/drag truck so it sees some miles other then that it dont see much not a realy nice driver with a role cage and racing seats, but im running a BD-Super power Single Turbo, BD-Power High Flow Injectors, Banks Power Git-Kit Exhaust System, Edge performance programer, and AEM Brute Force HD Diesel Intake to name off the big stuff
 
dont get me wrong im not hating on you at all, but why race trucks? it just seems pointless, why wouldn't you put the money into a sports car that is built to go fast and handle well, not a truck that is meant to tow a shitload with that turbo diesel,
 
well if you knew anything about subaru's you would know that the 2.0L is not preferred when "boosting the shit out of" unless you want to put more into the motor than your car will probably cost. if you want to run alot of boost, get the 2.5. or just get an evo.

my insurance is close to 500 a month, but thats for the wrx, jeep and my bike. i also have the worst record out of anybody i have ever met. 3 suspensions and im only 21
 
because it sounds badass, and billows black smoke everywhere :P my buddy has F350 superdiesel and it runs 13.0 its raw.

I've seen some of the other engine shots in previous threads, and I believe you had a dyno video as well. Post some shit up when you get some runs in, that car is sick!
 
come on drag racing? thats like the pussiest form of racing there is.
but atleast your doing it in a car that cant perform well in any other area, i hate it when i see evo's, sti's, s2000's and cars like that turned into full drag cars. like it just totally ruins the car and makes it so gay. if your make a drag car, do it with something like a mustang that cant do anything else well.

and to all the people in this thread talking about modding cars and shit, remember the more hp you have, the less skill it takes to drive fast.
say you start out racing in a spec miata or something, every little mistake you do can have a huge impact, you get on the gas too late around a corner and its gonna make a big difference.
you start out in a formula atlantic or something like that and you make a tiny mistake, its not gonna make a difference, you got supercar acceleration to fix it.

i always have so much more respect for people that drive slow sports cars rather than super fast ones.
its always funny when at test days you see people with their 500hp corvette getting passed by miata's spec e30's and cars with 1/5th the power. good drivers USUALLY dont need a billion hp to have fun.

its pretty easy to make diesel engines fast compared to gasoline, but im not a fan of fast trucks. i notice that a lot of younger people(early twenties) have been getting diesel trucks. I don't if if its because diesel gas prices are high or if trucks are the new thing lol. none the less a truck that runs 11s is sick
 
well clearly, but it takes so much work to actually make a ram 2500 with a that engine handle well, shit rips, my friends has the same car with no work and its a beast, but in the end its still a truck
 
well it probably just me but i feel way more confterable going fast in my truck then in my car. i duno its somthing about the size that just makes me feel safe. i would never go down the strip in my car it. and HOT ROD trucks are just kinda getting popular from where im from
 
how does it ruin the car and make it so gay? i mean ams is has an evo thats 1130hp running 8.42 1/4 times can u explain to me how that is gay lol. it goes out on the streets and rapes everything there is. its also still awd with coilovers so it handles like a mutha fucka.
 
pretty sure thats what he's sayin is that it is a waste of all that super legit suspension and such if your not gonna use it and just drive in a straight line yadadamean
 
i got one and im 16 too. there expensive as fuck to ensure but fun ass hell to drive

get:

new turbo

injectors

blow off valve

tubo timer

computer

rims

system

 
you should really do a bunch more research before you buy, those are not the best first mods you should be making. And you're right they can get really expensive to load up with meal replacement shakes.

i am under the impression that a blow off valve is a waste of air, and power. because it takes your old boost and shoots it out into the air making a "cool" sound.

a diverter valve takes your old boost and diverts it into the intake. i have two on my audi. one for each of my turbos.
 
im pretty sure wether your venting to atmos or recirc its not gonna make you increase boost any faster either way.... and you have a TT you should have like insta boost anyways unless youve got fucking giant turboZ on there.
