Anyone who lives in UTAH in need some advice!!!

I live in West Virginia right now at Snowshoe Mountain resort. I'm gonna goto U.U next fall I'll be living in Sandy, Utah 18 miles fomr salt lake and 13 from Alta/snowbird. I've only skied out west once in Colorado. I'm looking for a mountain with sick pow, sick terrain, sick riders and a sick park. Where's the best place for me to buy a season pass. I wanna build some backcountry hits to work on off-axis and inverts. So hard is it to make booters out of your fluffy snow.

im from utah, Snowbird has big steeps, lots of deep powder, a sick park, and the tram, i guess thats what your looking for, the canyons kinda sucks this year but usually has a good park and park citys terrain sucks but they have a good park, so if you want lots of good stuff go to Snowbird

never ever ever go to the canyons. they rip you off soooooo bad. if youre dyin for park go to park city. as fo building booters.. the options are limitless... ever seen a wind up movie? if not, go get the flying circus, and that should answe your questions...

thanks 123 is there alotta people in utah that huck? I mean I live at a shitty little icy resort in West Virginia. And theres about 5 people that live here that clear the jump 2 or 3 of us can spin and grab I mean it's pretty pathetic. I'm going out west to run into a group of people that wanna ski like everyday and build backcountry hits that I can try tricks on without risking paralyzation going invert heh

 
CANYONS BLOWS DONT GO THERE, alta is sick gets less tracked out then snowbird if thats what oyur looking for also tons of spots to build kickers, park city defiantley has the best park and pipe this year though so get one to pc and alta like i did the perfect combo

 
theres no one around here to push me and it's tough pushing yourself... also how are the mormons? Does living in Utah kinda suck other than the skiing?... like partywise that is. I'm gonna move out there and as soon as I see someone tearing it up I'm gonna follow them around untill they teach me how to do tricks.

 
for sure for the best mix i would ski snowbird. right across the street is home to massive hits like chads gap and there is plenty of spots to build any range of kickers. plus snowbird has a reletively cheap college pass, like 300$ PArk city kills the newschool seen and they if you know where it is do have some good terrain. Canyons blows this year but they don't even check passes in the park, and should have a better park next year if we get the snow.

as for partying there is plenty of it, espeacially in P.C. I am only 16 so don't get to much but hear its not bad

the canyons blows it this year, but snowbird and alta got great all mountain, and pcmr has got one of the best parks

snowbird is the best, and if you get a snowbird and a park city pass you cant lose, that way if you go to snowbird and it ends up being crappy up top, just go down to there park, it is second best in Utah, only like 60 percent of utah is mormons so dont worry about it, and there is plenty of partys.

oh yeah theres lots of huckers too, lets see, stefan tomas, heath ordway, andy wood (the canyons), Ryan Oakden, those are really good guys, plus there is like 20 huckers atleast at every resort

GO to snowbird for sure. The park is dope, Mineral Basin is sick on a pow day, and right across the street there are plenty of places to build huge kicks. As for the mormons, don't worry. Utah mormons are different than other Mormons. Most kids I know go out and get plowed every weekend. There is no shortage of weed, the beers kinda watered down, but hey liquors quicker. Utah is dope, you'll love it here.

Yeah I'm pretty excited I'm gonna move there in like 3 weeks but still dont have a roomate (sucks) everyone I know is a puss. One bedrooms are like 600$ and two bedrooms are like 650$ so I really need a roomie

dorms huh I've never lived in dorms dont know if I'm down with that havn't heard anything good about them ever, Ive been living on my own for two years now I'm pretty used to it don't know if I could live with strangers. Besides my roomate at the dorms might be a snowboarder... sheeeshh

ya i wouldnt suggest living at the dorms either but they are really nice for dorms anyway, but ya get an apartment for sure.. but if you ever want to go up and hit some kickers let me know we areup all the time

 
I'll be out there in a few weeks is there still skiing out there? And any of you guys like ski machine I'm an everyday kinda skier I need some friends who like to ski 6 days a week

if you like beer you are gonna hate utah. worst beer and worst alcohol laws in the country. our beer has like 3 percent as opposed to the rest of thenations 5-6 percent. it tastes like water

 
ya you can get liqour or regular beer you just have to go to liqour stores, i hear utah girls are hot all those mormons

yeah utah has hella hot girls but they are all so mormon that all u can do is look. shitty beer and stuck up hot girls.

 
yeah U of U is one of the colleges that i want to go to, have you gotten accepted already, and what were your grades, i dont think you need really good grades to get in there but im not sure

Alta is the sickest of them all you can get an alta snowbird pass. Alta you have endless oppertunities to build bc kicker and yet thier are usually natural ones off cliffs. you can huck unlimited amounts of clifs from 2 ft to 200 ft if you are darina alta is amamzing and then since they are cooncted now just goover to snowbirc for thier park alta is for skier!
