By the way, he has leukemia not cancer.

Andrew McMahon, lead singer of rock bands Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, is being treated in a Los Angeles hospital for acute lymphatic leukemia.

He was diagnosed with the illness after telling doctors about a persistent case of laryngitis. Billboard.com reports his doctors expect him to recover, but said that McMahon's voice could be permanently damaged if he were to continue singing without resting. The upcoming tours for Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin have been postponed until further notice.

Actually, I beleive Leukimia is a type of cancer. My friend Madison had Leukimia for a while and always referred to it as cancer. I may be wrong though.
