Anyone Want to go to hood?

my friend just decided not to go with me, and i have an open car spot open now. I would be leaving the 17th or 18th from minneapolis and returning the 26 or 27th. we would have a floor to sleep on out there. We could drive my car, and split gas money, besides gas all wed have to pay is lift tickets/food.

PM me and we can exchange phone #s and arrange details.
 
you dont have to be from minneapolis either, we could meet somewhere and leave from there. i got toyota carolla so i get pretty decent mpgs!

im friends with aaron and jake from duluth, wed be staying at aarons apartment/ on his floor. it would cost $150 each for gas, and $50 a day for lift tickets, but you can also hike the public park, which isnt bad. oh and probably like another 50 on food, although we could survive on peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches for like $10
 
Dang it I want to go so badly! The problem isn't even money for me, it's getting time off at work, I don't have that many vacation hours.
 
wooow i want to go to so bad but the probablem is money. and i dont kno if my mom would be down with it:( for like 300 bucks thatd be sooooooooo worth it!
 
hey i thought my hood trip this sumer was done becasue 2 of my friends backed out but i got 2 open spots in my van and i can do the trip for like 550 for 5 days riding.  i was going to post on here earlier but i thougth nobody would even answer.  oh its with 2 snowboarders but were chill.  i rode spirit like 5 days a week this last year and go to umd
 
..... i believe but am not sure we are leaving the 25th... i think i have switched dates like 3/4 times now.
 
I had to pull some strings to get off work. The plan right now is to leave early on the 25th and get there the next evening, ski 4 days, and drive back in 2 days so I can be at work the next saturday. If we somehow drove straight through we could maybe wait till friday night to leave, but that might really suck. It's an idea though.
 
if your interested i have room for 4 in my van if we camp and 5 if we dont. and allen i grew up next door to melissa's boyfriend, we met a couple times at spirit. i have a brown corduroy jacket and electric goggles
 
its open to any days, the guy i'm going with is open anytime and i just need to know soon to get work off. if i cant find anybody to go were not because gas is to expensive in a van with 2 people, i was planning on leaving the 19th but it sounds like the 25th would be the best and that is fine with me.
 
i just lapped lake Michigan from Colorado... cost over $1,000 in my xterra... me and my girl budgeted $800. Be careful on gas dudes.... $300 roundtrip from hood in a fully packed corolla might be a little low, even at 35mpg.
 
yeah i wouldnt think if we left late on the 25th and drove straight through with three people we could still make in same amount of time. but im not sure if we could fit 3 people plus gear in my car, its a pretty small car. and i dont know if theres a place to stay for 3 people,.....other options might be camping, or im not really sure where steve and i think evan, and beas are staying, but possibly staying with them, but i heard that they are sleeping in cardboard boxes or something.
 
i know your not really looking to go with people you dont know (i dont want to either)but im tellin ya that i have room for everybody in my van if we dont camp. hell i can just drop u off and pick u up when we leave, meaning that if you do stay at someones house or something were not there to bug you.  if we split gas 5 ways it will be dirt cheap, probably cheaper than going 2 people in your car
 
how about we leave the 26th drive straight thru get there sunday, ride monday-friday, leave friday after riding and get back saturday sometime.  thats what i did last year and it worked perfectly.  and i need to know soon because i have to get off work
 
There's no way I can take off two saturdays at work. That's why we'd have to leave early on friday the 25th, and be back the night of the next friday. My number is 320.267.8115 if you want to talk about it. I work till 5 tonight, so call me after that.
 
this way will defintly be better bc we could deffintly drive straight through, optimizing ski time.!!

 
hey with 5 people i would not mind leaving at 6. its about a 30 hour drive with stops( map quest said 24 hours without stops) and if we do leave at 6 we would be geting there at about 12 saturday night.  im ok going with 4 but its an option if drew wants to go
 
^i have boots that are 4 years old, and not comphy at all, im sure you dont need new gear that bad. just tell your mom to suck a dia!
