Hey Guys,
I'm thinkin of hittin up some of the Backcountry near Vail
Tommorrow and was wondering if anyone might be interested... I have
the 5-Mt. Pass, live in Golden, and was planning on driving, I can take 1 or 2 people
max. in my truck. The areas I was thinking about were the East Vail
Chutes [20 minute bootpack from Outer Mongolia Bowl Tow Rope],
Mushroom Bowl [Sick, Gnarly face east of Sibera Bowl on the backside],
and some of the hike-access stuff off of Earl's Bowl in Blue Sky Basin
[Enchanted Forest, Pillowland, ect..] I know Vail and the surrounding
backcountry fairly well and have Avy Gear [Beacon, Shovel, Avalung,
GPS, ect... and know how to use it], I ski on 06' K2 Seth Vicious's
mounted with Marker Duke AT bindings with skins; It would be nice for
you to have an AT or Backcounty set up as well, saves time
hiking/bootpacking for sure, but if not thats ok too, though some Avy
safety/BC knowledge would be a big +++. I'm anyone is interested just
in hittin some of Vail's gnarlier in-bounds stashes I'm down with that
too; I know most of em' pretty well. Anyways Yeah I'm gonna try and
take off early tomorrow around 7:00-ish so shoot me a message
ppersson@mines.edu or drop me a line (973)-495-2714
