Anyone used these? APEX Boots?

Saw this in the POWDER MAG Buyers guide. Has anyone seen these? Thought they were interesting to say the least. Couldn't find a recent thread on them.

I'm wondering what they would be like to ski, and see what they would be like for hard charging. They might be for "older folk"?

I worked on some last season. It's just a snowboard boot with a carbon brace. They are weird. Not worth the crazy price. The only reason to get them I can see is to make it a bit easier to walk around town as you can take the brace off. That is the reason the guy got them. They suck to work on though as you can't punch or stretch them and even with the carbon brace they are supper flexy, defiantly not good for skiing. Save your money and get some real boots.

I completely agree. I would never buy them, just wondering why people would haha
