Has anyone Skied these before? ive been thinking of getting them for a pow/all mountain ski and was looking for a few helpful reviews

i haven't skied 90's but i have skied the 100's, they're pretty bad ass, straight up, cruise through anything crud, pow, moguls even, but the east coast ice can be a little bit of a problem, and doing the trees at jay can be a bit of a bitch cause they're so wide

alright..well i own the 90..and i find it awesome..it has made me more confindent..it has a good pop..its fast and it is really good for on and off piste..i recommend it..

if i smaller person.. sya 110lbs, agressive, but not the best skier but will still rip it up. for all mountain/pow, and maybe some park. would you recomend the 90s?

They may be a bit stiff for you. I'm 200 lbs and they were the perfect stiffness for me; didn't overflex at all.

Besides the stiffness, they charged great, destroyed anything in my way, and carved amazingly well.

have you used head mad trix, or any head ski? cause i have those and really like the stiffness.

and the chronics are cap.... i havnt heard good things about cap.

there's nothing wrong with cap, cap actually is quicker edge to edge and doesn't chip as easily, it's also lighter. as far as delams, invaders have problems, but they're a cheap ski. cchronics are definitely a solid ski.

Nope, never have. I felt like the prophet was a good stiffness though and my favorite ski is the volkl supersport, which is really stiff, even for my 200 lb body. The prophets weren't as stiff as a racing ski, naturally, but I skied hard and didn't overflex the prophets.

you also need to remember that these skis have titanium on the "contact points". the metal doesnt reach the end of the tips and isnt extended for the whole width of the ski

which you can see if you look at the pictures of the ski; the metal is what looks like shadows in the middle of the ski.

I have about 30 days on the Prophet 90 and since I got to ski it in January of '06 it has been my favorite ski. It is a more versatile Volkl Mantra. Quicker edge to edge and with more stability at speed. If you want the same feel but with out the metal then the Chronic Blend is the ski to get. Virtually the same ski as the Prophet 90, but with no metal and a slightly forward mounting position for more versatility in the park. If you want to play in the park I would say go with the Blend if you want more of an all mountain do everything ski go with the Prophet 90. They ski long with the metal matrix that is used. In my opinion the Line Prophet 90 was the most versatile ski made for last year and at the best price too.

Hey im Skiing the 80s this year but next year i plan to go ut west a couple of times from the east and thinking about the 90s. They ski the grooms well enough to ride the east and a decent floating ski?

go with the 90s. a waist of 90 does not limit you on groomers at all.

this ski skis amazingly well. the local rossi rep demoed some and said he loved how they skied and wanted to keep them out.

90's are the ultimate everything ski. I skied the 100', 90's and 80's shitty day at Jay and the 90 was great for everything.

what if you got the 100's but with a riser? too help edge transition if you wanted to do groomers

or do you still need a riser with the 90?

eastcoast.

Personally, I don't think you need risers on either one. I didn't like the 100's as much as the 90's, but that's just because the leverage of that size ski (100's at 178cm) was too much for my knee by the end of the day.

i find the 100s fine for skiing groomers. obviuosly its a pow ski, but you can rail turns not problem. if you are trying to bash gates with them, theres alot more wrong with that picture.

do not use risers on freeride skis. they put way too much leverage on your knees. the same principle that makes it easier to carve with a riser, makes it easyier to blow your kneee. do not use them

wait can you take the 90's in the park at all? or will they suck in a 179 at 275lbs, not me my friend im only 120 hes lookin in to some

at 200, they were fine. Perfectly stiff; so I'm sure if you skied them hard, you'd flex them plenty, but I can't imagine they'd be overflexed. In such a case, they might make quite a nice mid-stiff park ski.

yea i rode the prophet 130s before but to carve and turn and all that is very slow, it's like having two snowboards instead of a pair of skis because its soo wide! but when you ride these wide ass skis, gurantee the racers will stare at you with there tight clothing, and there tighty ass spandex.

i have the prophet 80s and they are a sick all moutain ski i have skiied pow, park and everything with them. they handle everything and are a great ski and im pretty sure the prophet 90s are no different. but you might want to hear a review from someone who has actually skiied the 90s though
