Anyone tried acupuncture?

Tried it out for the first time the other day after tweaking my shoulder. I ended up blacking out a couple of times and was sweating profusely. Was an extremely interesting experience to say the least...

Doesn't sound like acupuncture is for you yikes! I haven't tried it personally but I know a lot of people who have and seem to swear by it like it's a miracle or something.

Before I went I was in a terrible mood and extremely stressed. (thought I shredded my rotator cuff) I don't care for needles too much, but more along the lines of shots. Sat through 8 hours of calf tattoos no problem, but 5 min into acupuncture and I was passing out. She made it from my feet, calves, arms, right shoulder, but once she hit my left ear it was a little pinch, ripple from a water drop, and instant vertigo, falling, blackness... was out for 3 seconds or so and came to with some lady's face over mine having no fucking clue who she was or where I was. Took me a couple of seconds to connect the dots and talked to her a bit about how that never has happened before, then was right back out. Happened 3 times and she seemed really uneasy about it. I thought it was weird and oddly funny... I drank some water and sat around for like 15 minutes with a stupid smile on my face and laughing about it with her. Was beaming good vibes all night haha. Top 3 weird experiences so far.

acupuncture is weird in the sense that you kind of have to go into it with an open mind and not really have solid expectations

i think experimenting with acupuncture and trying out different procedures that they offer is good just to see what works for you, what you like, or dont like

but honestly, if you have a legitimate problem, don't go to one, because you will end up spending a ton of money and be disappointed with the results

acupuncture has gotten a lot of traction lately since that swimmer mofo Phelps and all those athletes in Rio had those red circles on their bodies from acupuncture blood extraction

That's nuts! At least you're feeling better maybe next time get her to stay the heck away from that left ear.

I did a week straight of it to help get me off smoking (didn't work) but I found it really relaxing. I had needles in each hand, two in each of my wrists, two in each of my legs above the ankle and then one in the centre of my scalp. They feel super weird goin in but afterwards I felt really relaxed and fuzzy inside. It was almost like drugs just not as gnarly.

Yea cupping leaves some interesting bruises.

I've had acupuncture done a lot, I love it and I've never had something like that happen to me before, that's wild! I got a more intense treatment done where they kinda shove the needles deeper into areas of the skin that are nerve connections. I fell asleep with about 20 needles total in me, mostly the back. Which would be fine if I didn't move when I fall asleep places I know I'm not really "supposed to" and I twitched. It was awful... All the needles were pretty deep in the tissue at that point so, ew. That was my only experience where it was blatantly sucky.

Any other kind of acupuncture I've had besides that one specific kind has been totally fine and relaxing. Kinda sounds like a maybe medical attention issue if you're still feeling weird and don't normally black out.

One time I went to a massage appointment after drinking all night, she must've got all that poison moving around in my bloodstream again because I felt so sick afterwards.
