I sure do. I know deep inside Newschooler's WuTang/Method Man population, there are a few people out there that still enjoy classic rock. Share favorite bands/artists, songs, or albums.

Top 10 Bands:

1. The Who

2. The Rolling Stones

3. Led Zeppelin

4. Jimi Hendrix

5. Aerosmith

6. Elvis Presley

7. Queen

8. Lynard Skynard

9. The Beatles

10. Guns N' Roses

Favorite album for me has got to be Who's Next followed by Quadrophenia/Forty Licks

Favorite song has gotta be Suspicious Minds by Elvis

Stoked on Aersosmith's current tour, The Who coming to Detroit in November, and rumors of The Rolling Stones touring in the Summer of 2013!

You think The Who are better than Zeppelin and Hendrix? Sorry to be the one who breaks this to you but your taste in music is fucking awful.

yup. zeppelin is probably my favorite just because they have so many songs but i still love pink floyd dark side of the moon is my all time favorite album. i also listen to a lot of 90s alternative like nirvana, pearl jam, alice in chains. recently i've been more into stuff like the dead and the band

The only music i really listen to is classical music and classic rock. in particular 80s rock like scorpions, whitesnake, def leppard, van halen, bon jovi and that stuff.

AC/DC, CCR, Zepplin, The Stones, Hendrix, Maiden, some Metallica does it for me. saw AC/DC in concert a couple years back and it was amazing.

I love classic rock. It definitely isn't the only thing I listen to, but on the right day, not much beats it. In no random order, these are some of my favorites:

Zeppelin

Boston

Supertramp

Rush (going to see them in September)

yea i really wouldnt consider it anything else ex. metal. ik maiden is technically metal as well as metallica but the genre has evolved so much to guys roaring and head banging and shit i would consider it good ol classic/ hard rock.

love me some classic rock. Its the only music that you can just close your eyes and listen, and enjoy real music the way its meant to be played.

Fleetwood mac, Van morrison, Neil Young, Zeppelin, jethro tull, pink floyd, journey, rush, the police, rolling stones holy fuck so many and theyre all so good

yep i listen to my local classic rock station everyday at work. still fairly new to it (past year or two) but it definitely gets my respect. id have to say Led Zeppelin is my favourite band. i mean who doesnt like a song like How Many More Times

I listen to it still.

Favourites are Led Zeppelin, Rush, Budgie, and a few others.

(In case anyone is wondering Budgie could be described as a mix between Led Zeppelin and Rush)

I guess a lot of it has to do with me growing up listening to the who. My dad always listened to it, so i guess i caught on. Anyways, its an opinion. Most people that say the who sucks and that hendrix/zeppelin is better know like 3 songs by them. Once you get old enough, you will realize anyone born in the classic rock era will tell you the who is better than both zeppelin and hendrix.

yep, thats my current most listened to playlist. it's all classics. ccr, golden earring, scorpions, kiss, rush, sabbath, motley crue, the clash, the who, the doors, the hollies, you name it. fucking great music.

van halen is one of my favorite bands. they're awesome. other ones i like: ac/dc, sabbath, hendrix, guns n roses, journey, kansas, metallica, ozzy's older stuff, and the beatles.

rock is the best. i honestly don't like rap/ hip hop at all

Yeah. The Doors, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd. I've got most popular classic rock bands but those are the ones i listen to most.

i find it funny that a lot of rappers or people that listen to rap and hiphop appreciate classic rock, but never the other way around...

like me, ive listened to rap/hiphop all my life and i enjoy classic rock. maybe its just cause im not stubborn with my music choices. other than country. fuckthat

How is Elvis classic rock???

Y'all don't even know shit about classic rock if you don't know about Love and Arthur Lee.

idk, never got to like queen. never really tried, i admit, but i just dont feel it from what you hear everywhere.

might be because when i was little, we finished an awful lot in 2nd place during a few winter soccer tournaments (of like 20 teams, so not too bad), but hearing this god damned "we are the champions" bullshit everytime right when you get the silver medal catches up with you eventually.

i like deep purple, led zeppelin, and jimi hendrix a lot. for me classic rock is this late 60s to at best late 70s period. pink floyd have some awesome songs too. and all the other usual suspects.

BUT what would really interest me.

QUESTION TO ANYONE:

what bands nowadays have this sound right now? like a classic rock feeling but they came out over the last decade?

for me:

wolfmother ("self titled" album)

comets on fire ("avatar")

the strokes (some songs)

post em up, would really be interested in more bands like that
