I was just checking em out at my shop the other day, they look beefy. I saw the prototype last february on the snowbird tram, a rider from Canada somewhere was competeing in the IFSA and he had the proto's they look sick. Wondering if anyone had the chance to try em out yet?

these look pretty sick though they got one pair down at sportsden, although they retail about 1100$ garys gettgin a job at dicks so I might be able to get a discount. I dunno what I wanna ski on this year. Maybe I'll just mount my Msp's back to an acceptable position

Are these the ones of which you speak?

How are they different to the regular 1080 Gun? What is the construction of each? Wood core on one or both?

Milled wood core. Potentially with a mix of foam, but there is wood within, hence the pricetag of something around a grand for the set.

word on the streat is they blow. i heard someone call them the submariner cause they like to dive.

Like I said, they aren't wood cores... Powerfoam PU is an expanding foam filler. And suggested retail at SIA was quoted to me at somewhere around $1300... But the Dynastar Legend Pro's MSRP at $1200, and sell for about $800 in stores, so...

anything else? I can get em for 499$. But if I wait a little longer I can get the Head Supermojos for like 500$. It's a really tough call

Neither are wood but they definitely are completely different skis. The Gun has the same foam core as the old 1080 and PR but the Foil and Gun Lab have a new and improved to be beefier core. It also has a double monocoque construction so twice the torsional rigigity of the PR too. Great shape and the 188 one length make this thing by far the most badass Salomon to date, possibly the first.

have you had a chance to ski these pigs yet? I'm torn between those two skis. I can get the Labs today but I can possibly get the Supermojos soon.

If your really stoked on getting a twin the get the salomon gun lab. They look like a great ski. But if you can wait then def. get the HEAD supermojo. Best big mountain ski of the year by far. My buddy skiied it and was blown away. The thing is a tank. Although its not twinned. At the speeds you can get going on the Supermojo and feel stable you'd never want to be going switch.

Man i wish i had the ability to have a new pair of skis every year. Must be nice to be spoilt rotten.

They're at the top of my wish list, though without skiing them or holding them that's simply looks and dimensions. I just hope they ski great because they're beautiful, let us know if you get them.

orrr have go to school while having a fulltime job to pay rent/gas/food. then being lucky enuff that he saved enuff cash to even think about buying new sticks.

haha, greg stepping it up. Anyway, the problem lies in the fact that you can't demo any high-end skis these days. Same goes for boots. You just gotta get a feel for them in the store and take a chance if you like them.

i saw em at a ski swap awhile ago at some demo booth. saw them in a 188, and theyre a pretty beastly ski. my guess is they wanted something kinda like the Jp/Julien in a sense. but i dunno, i flexed em and they were kinda soft for a big ski like that. haha, although i did flex em right after the ANT so i might have gotten used to the stiffness in big skis.

Well, you cant always tell the "stiffness" of a ski just by flexing it. The tortional rigidity makes a much bigger difference, or so I'm told.

ya i was in there a few days ago and they looked soooooo sick deff. not what i expected, wish i could ski them tho...

Supermojo (iM103) is crazy burly, if you are getting a ski to use everyday I hope you are strong (assuming you are talking the 193cm) and like to do massive turns, I think the radius is 38m. The Legend Pro is more managable as an everyday ski in 186 or 194 in my opinion than the Supermojo/iM103. Haven't even seen the Gun Lab in person or heard much about it, it looks interesting though.

You can find brand new iM103's in wrapper for 400 online sometimes (same ski as Supermojo but doesn't have as good topsheet graphics).

they actual have a tighter radius, but yeah basically the same ski. I'd rather have the newer one just for the warranty factor, I tend to break shit.

I was lucky enough to ski them last year and they are the best big ski I've ever ridden.

Pure and simple they have their act together with these skis!

Super light impressively quick for a burly ski like this.

They look good too. Same color and graphic work as Salomon Score surfboards.

I'll vouch for these skis... They feel like a big mountain version of a FOIL... Sickest skis this year.

Does the color of the GUN lab's concern anyone? If one kicked off in the powder you would never find it. Unless you are pro that has two more pairs waiting in the heli. This could be a serious problem.

Well I got a little turned off from 4frnts to be honest. I bought the msps last season and they've held up well. Something about them just feels funny, they just arnt very responsive, I just could never get in a very comfortable position with them big mountain unless I am breaking the sound barrier, when my boots come in this week I'm gonna remount them 1.5inches back from the "Freeride" line and see if this helps.

I hear good things about the ANT's aswell, but I can't get proform on those at the moment. My choices are pretty much Gunlabs or Supermojos or Blizzard titan pros
