Looking to get a second pair of skis for this season, and want freeride big mountain ones. I've skied BCs, B2s, Pocket Rockets etc. but seen the Zags and the Factions, and they look hot! Anyone actually skied them though? What are they like?!

zag makes very good skis. they float a shit load better than any other skis i have ever skied. they have a longer and wider tip than most skis to enable you to float at low speeds.

masuaro is a swiss company whos got two skis out. a fat and a mid fat. they are very stiff skis.

hope that might have helped someone

^ Exactly. They are designed to float much higher than most other skis at lower speeds. That's because at anything faster than a low speed, the sidecut starts hooking up and they get super squirrely. Sidecut = bad in powder. Not turning on Zag's is next to impossible.

187 MSP..thats so monster. Maybe if I hit like 6'3..i'll buy a pair. But I still got 3 inches to go for that.

that is quite jibtastic, sir.

Sidecut= bad in powder ???? Have your skis sidecut?? Or do u ski over tradicional skis that didn´t carve anything. I´ve got the Zag Freeride Big and I have to say that it´s amazing the way they turn and float over all kinds of snow. U don´t feel the difference between piste and off piste. The only thing I dislike is that they are a litle heavy and their tail is not high enough. Try them and u´ll be able to talk about them

AHeppner have u ever seen or ridden on a zag ski? no? though not since if u had seen them u would be like wtf that side cut is messed. like the ones i demoed last yr were like 130-80-110 they were really wierd. i know they make other more normal skis like those twins they make the fly or super fly or whatever they r.

dont get it twisted

from what ive heard zag really really sucks
